Kid must have been pretty hammied if you walk through somebody's house and not realize it isn't yours. Probably black out drunk.

In my house after breaking in = you are now an identified target and I know what is beyond said target. It's my house so I already know what's beyond.

In house illegally = already identified threat.

It's the same as shooting through the window or door as the threat is trying to break in. You've identified it as a threat, you don't have to ask it who or what it's intention is.

But what if I snuck into the hospital and abducted all the newborns from the maternity ward, then duct taped them to my torso, limbs, and one on my head like a hat... and duct taped their mouths so they couldn't be crying audibly too... THEN I put on a big trench coat, and broke into your house in the dark.

Someone walked into my house, was a town home that looked exactly the same. Walked in the front door, I didn't like the guy but didn't kill him either.

This shit happens all the time, you shouldn't kill the person. I know you people think you are all high and mighty, protected by the law. But laws are wrong and you are idiots.

I can't count how many times people in college ended up in the wrong dorm room or whatever after a night of drinking like retards. Also plenty of stories of people pissing in the wrong room (i.e. wrong turn and end up peeing in someone else's room). The video shows houses that look somewhat similar as well.

It's obviously very possible for some wasted 16 year old to have made the mistake of trying to get into the wrong window.

In case this hasn't been covered already, your alcohol consumption does NOT excuse your behavior. I never understand why people think drunks get a pass. Dude broke in, intentional or not, drunk or not.

Actually, these new neighborhoods with cookie-cutter houses often do, and that seemed to be the case here.

That said it was obviously a case of mistaken property. The police have said as much, it has since been revealed that the staircase is exactly the same, the carpet is exactly the same, they have the same fence, the same backyard, are 2 doors away from eachother, have the same model house, etc. and he has been living there less than a year.
