Hmmm, breaking into a home though a window you thought was yours? Bad mistake that cost him his life. Guess the burglar alarm wasn't enough to say "you're in the wrong home!"

I disagree, he wasn't "mistaken for an intruder". He WAS an intruder.

http://abcnews.go.com/US/drunk-teen-shot-stumbling-wrong-house-father/story?id=18764652

A teenager, shot and killed when he entered a neighbor's home and was mistaken for an intruder, was drunk and did not realize he was in the wrong house, the boy's father said.

Caleb Gordley, 16, a popular high school athlete in Sterling, Va., was shot early Sunday morning at a home two doors down from his own. The homeowner thought he was an intruder, officials with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

The other story says the guy shot a warning shot and the kid didn't stop. Tough, but as hammered as I've ever been, I would sober up if someone shoots a gun at me.

I blame the father for not instilling enough discipline in his son to prevent illegal underage drinking.

I say book the father for manslaughter :colbert:

This is why guns should be illegal!!!!

I'm sure that is what the Op is waiting for.

"I was just informed that Caleb & his friend hopped the fence into the wrong backyard," Shawn Gordley wrote on Twitter on Monday. "They both thought it was my house. Caleb then climbed through an UNLOCKED window and staggered up the staircase that is identical to mine. Caleb would have went home with this friend, even though he knew I would have been furious, if that window was locked."

Seriously? That father is blaming this on the window being unlocked?

Same thing happened to a woman in IIRC Colorado about six months back but she survived.

OK: cleaned-up my poor recollection of details

Yea, he WAS an intruder.

Even drunk I wouldn't accidentally break into someone elses place. As soon as you got to the window (which I could see myself doing at my own place if I forgot my keys or something) and saw the stuff inside was different its obvious you're at the wrong place.

I love how you just shrug this off as though it's no big deal. Hell, you seem almost pleased about it. :whiste:

Is this just because you know spidey and his self-defense views? And you are a gun-control liberal? :awe:

Well played well played.

Use the liberal shame tactic some more, only more passive aggressive and liberal-like.

One time, when I was in Memphis, I was leaving a restaurant with a group of friends in their black honda civic. We were then like, OMG we left the leftovers inside. It was freezing, so I just said "Hey, I'll run in real quick and grab them." So I flipped my hood up, moved briskly inside, grabbed the food, and exited.

I saw the black civic out front so I jumped in the back door and all of a sudden I was like SHIT. Two black ladies in the front were like "AHHH OMG OMG AHHH!!!!" and I jumped out and was like FUCK sorry I thought you were my friends!!!

Could I have been shot? Yes. Did I deserve it? No. Would it have been a fatal misunderstanding? Yep :)

Luckily we laughed it off.

A) The shooter should get the death penalty.
B) Guns should be outlawed. All of them.

Anybody here actually believe this load of rubbish. O hey I'm drunk that must be my house. YA right.

It probably went more like this.

Friend A- Hold my beer

Friend B- Um dude this isn't your house

Friend A- Shut up and just hold my damn beer.

Friend A tears off the screen, opens up the window, starts to look around.

Boom Friend A is now dead.

Friend B gets the hell out of there.

The gene pool has improved? You two are fucking psychopaths. God forbid your children ever experiment with alcohol or maybe take some kind of hallucinogen. If you want to discuss the IQ of people that take mind altering substances then feel free to peruse the long history of people far more gifted that than you pathetic excuses for a human that have experimented with shit. Bill Gates has experimented with LSD, but apparently needs to be removed from the gene pool.
