Looking at companies, and who supported who. Seems all big IT companies supported Kerry's campaign:

-HP
-IBM
-Microsoft
-Sun Microsystems
-Oracle

AND

-Nokia :Q (Go Finland) 🙂

among others...

Why do you think they would have liked to see Kerry elected?

IPR profits. Kerry was their IPR boy.

IPR?

I dunno. Maybe because they're a bit smarter than the people in the industrial world.
Besides, many american companies aim for high profit inono time, while the traditional Japanese way is a stable profit. I think that's the reason why somebody vote Bush. I think these companies wants Kerry because these companies have the names for the long term stable income.

Where did that list come from.

HP CEO was on a short list for a cabinet post.

Foriegn companies could have wanted/supported Kerry, however, I do not think that they could provide funds/in kind without running afoul of US laws.

Remember, Clinton had that problem with Chinese support.

Ah yes, every DOMESTIC company couldn't possibly have supported Kerry.

Any COMPANY that has anything to with ANY scientfic research would have supported Kerry. Our lovely president hates technolgy

Yup, the people are for the advancement of civilization support the liberals. Conservatives, as usual, want to revert to an imaginary backward past.

You travel in any gasoline/diesel powered vehicles? 😉

Who cares who supported him, they are the losers.

Most of those companies gave generously to both campaigns. You really think they care who wins?

P.S. I assume some of you are just getting the news late, but FYI: Kerry lost. Why is this still under discussion? 😛

Why would M$ start supporting Kerry, didn't they remember who made their anti-trust legal woes go away?
Perhaps Mr. Gates is so bored that they want another Democrat administration to start another investigation all over again? Oh yeah, what is all this talk about he actually wants the government to tax his inheritance? If he really believes in all that equality stuff, he might as well donate everything to the government when he is still alvie.

Guess you weren't around P&N for the 2 years before the election.

Basically with both parties being pretty much the same you would simply be trading one set of "Club Members" such as Bush and his Oil buddies for a different set of Corporate Cronies running the Government.

The Religious set was sucessfully recruited by the GOP so they won easily and will continue to win even more easily and take over all 50 states very soon unless the Dems start to figure out how to recruit the Radically Religious back into their fold.

Tech Companies have to stop praying to Bill Gates and turn to God.

Yep, I got to go to a sale at the house of one of Clintons rich Chinese financal friends when the mess started. They were packing and leaving in a panic. The guy had 8 (EIGHT) PC's with flat panel screens in a consol that he used to monitor world currencies.

If you liberals weren't so full of yourself, you would have a chance. Read your own postings!
