Added a part time XP 1700+ without internet access ;) about as slow as it's possible to get, but I'm hoping to forget about it and get a nice 500,000 mpoint surprise six months from now.

I had an XP1700 T'bred B o/ced to 2.03GHz ,it would do 2.14GHz but it got rather toasty at that speed with the voltage it needed!
Can't you overclock your one? ;)

Mm, I'd like to try but it's using a stick of PC2100 at the moment... it is a Tbred-B and I've always wondered what it could do, but I've never had the right combination of gear to do it. I know when I tested the board with PC3200 the CPU booted and installed windows at 166x11=1826 with default voltage, so 2GHz might be on the cards. One day... ;)

Edit: apparently nforce2 boards have memory dividers too! Got it to 1833, won't do any more than that because the board has nothing between 166 and 200. That's still a nice little speed boost, so thanks for the idea :)

If it's Crucial PC2100 then it's very likely it will hit at least 150MHz ,mine did & with timings of 2-2-2-6 :) ,if not I've not got a clue ;) ,but might be worth a go ,what brand is it?
RAM dividers on my Nfrc2 mbrd never worked when I tried to run the RAM below the FSB.

And no probs ,glad you got somemore power out of it :)
Don't forget to give it a good stress test with Prime95.
