A beloved female high school teacher has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with one of her female students.

Lauren Hill, a 26-year-old English teacher and soccer coach at St Joseph High School in Michigan, was arrested last week and charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct.
Students told WNDU that Hill, who had been a standout soccer player for Michigan State University, started a relationship with the 18-year-old student after coaching her on the girls soccer team.

An investigation was launched after a parent of a student contacted the school about a possible inappropriate relationship between Hill and the girl, WNDU reported.
Following the report on April 29, the school immediately interviewed the teacher and placed her on paid administrative leave, according to the school district.
They also contacted the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety, whose investigation allegedly found Hill had an inappropriate relationship with the student.
