...They went into a career path that requires college education with subpar pay.

Sorry, you have to assign some stupidity there. The complexities and difficulties of googling "Elementary school teacher salary in X" is right past tying your shoes.
I don't disagree but....17y.o.. That's why....parents.....

And, "You must college." Not. Thanks Curious George..,idiot.

You must learn and achieve. That's what matters.

You know, you could do a pretty good morality quiz just based on old 1980s Penthouse Letters.

Dear Penthouse Letters,
Last weekend our parents went away for the weekend, and left me to watch my kid sister.

Dear Penthouse Letters,
The other day I came home from work to find the neighbor's daughter sunbathing by the pool.

Dear Penthouse Letters,
My wife was visiting her sick mother last week when the house cleaning service sent over a new girl.

Dear Penthouse Letters,
I've never been attracted to other men before, but after work the other day, my boss Gary and I went out for drinks.

Dear Penthouse Letters,
I have the cutest boy in my 10th grade Algebra class.

Just did the test. It's actually pretty good as personality tests go.
I could still do a better job but hey, for a normal mind thats not bad.

My parents definitely gave me the sex talk Most of the time during it I was just like yeah yeah can the awkwardness I know...

Not once did someone say "By the way, you shouldn't be attracted to your sister/cousins/<insert family>. That is incest and that's not normal"... Because, well... you have to be pretty fucked up to think that in the first place.
Morals aren't a set of rules, they're a way of thinking. It's the "because, well" part that needs to be talked about. People aren't born with morals.

some of us don't think salary is the primary goal in a career.

It was a high school teacher, BTW. In any case, I dont feel that teachers are terribly underpaid, although I am sure it varies by region. I just got up, tied my shoes, and googled "high school teacher salary". (See, I *can* do both.) In any case, I live in Minnesota, and the average salary is 57,000 and change per year. I have a college degree, work in medical research, and make considerably less than that.

Back on topic, I find the question "disturbing", not so much from the sexual content as that it just seems like there are much more relevant things for discussion in this current day and age.

It's a frickin question in a quiz that's supposed to rate your morality. It's not condoning or celebrating incest, if that's what their pea brains are outraged about. I didn't see the rest of the quiz or how legit it is (was it just created by some random blogger or actual professionals). I mean, THUMBS UP, but the parents need to cool it.

Seems like an overreaction, but given the litigious nature of some pearl-clutching parents, I understand.
"Little Jimmy never thought about nailing his sister Sally until he read this filthy, filthy quiz!"

Sarah's dog has four puppies. She can only find a home for two of them, so she kills the other two with a stone to the head.

What else are you supposed to do?

English is a weird class for a test like that, but if they were doing psych lessions or something...

I think exposing students who are nearly of voting age to questions that challenge them to think about the accuracy and basis of their moral beliefs is great. That would be a great essay question asking them to explain if the plan is morally wrong and why, but it is piss poor as a thumbs up / thumbs down question.

Also, English seems like a strange class for that question - unless they also happened to finish reading a book where incest and/or moral themes played a prominent role.

Seems inappropriate for an English class.

As presented, yes, as an essay question I think it could have been worked into a lesson. English class teaches critical thinking and writing, and to think and write, you need something to analyze.

If the class just finished Oedipus Rex, for example, or a book with themes of morality (To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the Flies, Huckleberry Finn) you could craft a lesson where it would be appropriate. Maybe give 3-5 moral questions where the students pick 1 to write an essay about so those that aren't comfortable with an incest question can avoid it.

Shrug, used to be fairly common and cousins marrying still is common in some parts of the world.

The whole point is trying to rub parent's noses in the fact they have abandoned talking about difficult moral issues with their kids will always end up badly for a teacher.

While I kind of agree, what exactly does this question help with:

"A man orders a custom-built sex doll designed to look just like his niece.”

For English, little to nothing. Its a great question if you are doing a philosophy class question.

And that includes a 3 month vacation! OTOH most of them do work far longer hours than what most of us think. In other states teachers are forced to have 2nd jobs just to barely scrape by.
