Asking an AH-MERI-KAN an opinion on tea is the same as asking them about beer; they don't know jack shit about either.

What passes for tea in the US of A is total shit. They even boil the fucking tea in GLASS pots for God's sake!

Merrr-Ken. (FTFY)

I wholeheartedly agree. Most people think tea was invented by Nestea and comes in cans at the 7-11.

I'm pretty sure billions of asians disagree with you.

Yes, they would, i'd care so much i'd cry though, so they don't because of that.

*sigh*

I drink coffee, that comment should be enough to give anyone a clue regarding how much i care about tea, what is tea and what isn't.

Everything you call tea can be tea for all i care.

I drink a variety, but in the summer sweet ice tea ftw! I can't stand unsweetened, not only does it taste horrid but always leaves my mouth feeling dry. I don't make mine syrupy like some places do (mcd's, although I still enjoy it), but it needs a little something. It's one thing I always forget when I head somewhat north is that the tea comes unsweetened and somehow you are suppose to sweeten a cold drink, that just doesn't work.

I can't stand tea, unless it has a touch of cream &/or sweetener. Tea has a metallic taste to me that is absolutely repulsive.

A lot of herbal teas trigger my sinus allergies. Used to drink a lot of them until I figured that out. My allergies are much better now.

Enjoy your tea, everybody!

Why do you suppose the tea needs to be boiled?

None of that has to be true, pure black tea is free from allergens and it doesn't taste metallic in any shape or form, it's quite tart though so most people prefer a mix.

Personally i don't touch the stuff, black coffee or naught for me.

what is wrong with glass?

i heat water in my metal kettle, then use a glass pot for brewing, and then strain with a screen into my cup.

i like many kinds of tea and only buy loose leaf.

I guess only the yanks chimed in on this one...how the hell do you drink tea unsweetened....blasphemy I say. Do you drink sodas unsweetened too? 🙂
