I see they pay $7 for every customer referred to upgradesource. Curious.

P.S. - they appear to be Imation, not TDK 25 pks. IME, big difference.

Pretty sweet deal... but shipping is like 4 bucks. And I didn't see any tax though... even though I live in CA. Bug? Whatever.

don't forget the outpost $20 or so (free overnight) for 8x or 12x cd's. $14 for 25 isn't all that great when you can get double for a few bucks more. (airborne overnight, the people that chuck your stuff on the front door even though the package says signature required)

Correct....that's Imation CDRs...not TDK. Honestly though, if you have a good drive, like the 9300i, it will write to anything at any speed. I write to bottom-of-the-barrel Hi-Val 4X-certified CDRs at 10X just fine, and they read perfectly. Then again, not everyone has a 9300i. :)

P.S. Reseller ratings - Who uses that site anyway? I use Bizrate for online store ratings....much larger response.

When writing at 10x on the "bottom-of-the-barrel Hi-Val 4X-certified CDRs", you have to consider the fact that they might not be readable anymore in about 2 or 3 years.. so don't burn any "important" data on it.

upsource is a shill for his own company. Claims to be a PR person - but a real PR person would acknowledge the bad rating, and saying "we're improving" or "we acknowledge soem dissactificationwhile we grew, but we instituted changes to overcome that". Instead, he teels us to ignore the rating behind the curtain. That is BAD PR.

HELLO
Why aren't you guys reading his sig?
He's made two posts today, both pointing us to upgradesource to buy stuff. His name is upsource and his sig file reads "pr dude" "upgradesource.com".

Dear Mr. Upsource
If you wish to advertise on this site, there are proper avenues for so doing.

Fellow members:
How did you miss this? Oh - the CDRs from outpost for $17.95 delivered burn well.

The truth is, if Upgrade Source had a "bad" rating, there would be more than 30 negative posts about our company on ResellerRatings.com. You'd think that if our service was truly as bad as those oddballs on R.R. say it is, the other 28,945 customers that have ordered from us in the last two years would speak up too, no? Can't wait to hear the theory on that one. I love you guys with the R.R. comments.

FYI, I've ordered from many of the companies on Reseller Ratings at one time or another. Truthfully, I've never experienced a problem with any of them, whether they're rated 2.0 or 7.0. This fact makes the "comments" on that site a sham.

How can you get Imation CDRs mixed with TDKs?! You're obviously connected with this site in one way another by your sig. Don't try to swindle us into buying those Imations because those SUCK (for any price).

I would suggest you take your business elsewhere because like one other guy said, that 2.5 rating shows that someone is screwing up at upgradesource. I think I ordered from here once and the shipping was like $15 for a gamepad that was light and worth only $30. Learn to do business before you try and scam everyone here.

Lying to get yourself customers is a great way to lose them all fast. The mod's should ban you for trying to plug your site without reallt asking and trying to rip us all off.

It would be one thing if you were just asking us to all go see your new site and give you some feedback and what not. But you went and lied to us all about something that would have been a hot deal if it had in fact been true.

The thing is ...

Most people that buy via the Internet are not aware of RR and Bizrate. So, that only tells if you have 30 BAD experiences from the small percentage of people that know about these sites. Then your company needs to review some of the basic principals of business.
