Ugh...

My neice just posted a picture of her belly on FB... she is 20 and pregnant and posts every inane thought that comes into her head on FB along with pics. Anyway, worst tattoos I've ever seen. If you're thinking of getting a tattoo... don't waste your money.

Yes, I'm judging her. I know her, and while I think she has potential, she mostly just does stupid shit to fuck up her life.

Edit-removing pic... we all do dumb things in life. Not fair for me to post personal pics of her ridiculous tattoos here.

Tattoos are stupid, to me, and I'd never get one.

The thing is, I cannot imagine anything I think tattoo-worthy today worth looking at when I'm 70. Nursing homes are going to be some pretty weird looking places in the future.

A FEW tattoos, operative word FEW, as in 2 or 3 smallish sexy tattoos strategically placed are not a turn off.

A body covered in ugly tattoos is a major turn off, and looks pretty stupid generally.

Personally, I don't do tattoos.

I might pierce a nipple at some point, I thought about it. But facial piercing, including the nose, lips and tongue grosses me out and turns me off completely.

tattoos are definitely hit or miss. i think it's more of a culture kind of thing to get into. you're "in" when you have a tat.

the vast majority are poorly done and they are certainly going through a renaissance right now.

I haven't looked but I'm sure there's data somewhere indicating a strong correlation between the number of tattoos one has and how high one scores on the stupidity scale.

Around here, it seems that the people that are heavily tattooed are the ones that seem to be least affordable to have them. Go figure!

Stupid is as stupid does, in this case. Except if you're a sailor, then you get a free pass in my book.

Erm, my ink hasn't made me cool. Every once in a while a stranger will figure out a puzzle or joke hidden inside and laugh.

I've got nothing against tattoos in general, but some people get some really trashy tattoos....

I was looking through WTF Tattoos yesterday, and if that site isn't enough to scare you off of getting one, nothing will. The trivial spelling mistakes were astounding. That would suck getting something a sixth grader should be able to do, and having it done wrong.

Most people don't spend as much as they should on a tattoo if they choose to get one. Or they just choose any artist whom they have zero rapport with.

If you're going to get something permanent then spend the money to get it done right by an artist you trust to be good and that you have good communication with.

Lol, news flash.... Artists do not wanna be your friends. I happen to have several friends in Chicago who do ink which makes it enjoyable when I'm in town but in general you're not just gonna walk into a shop and find buddies.

in moderation, done by good artists (few and far between in my research) can be really neat if intelligence and a lot of forethought is put into them.

I want a miniature english ivy bracelet tattoo, and a small (3 inch tall or so) tattoo of a fox on my ankle. That's it, and I will be lucky if I get them ever in my life.

And I do not think I am an idiot.

I will not get a tattoo for myself. But i like the well designed small tattoos which can be called a kind of art in my eyes.

I don't get this fad lately, especially girls with full sleeves and so on...

If you aren't in the navy, prison, or a gang, you probably shouldn't have a tattoo, certainly not sleeves. Maybe one or two concealable ones.

this.
Luckily here they're rare and even then it's just discrete stuff on the ankle or whatever.
I've never seen a full sleeve on a woman, and just once on a man.
