Does anyone here have any tattoos? One of my friends is getting one, and that brought the topic back to mind... a while back I remember wanting one... can't remember my logic then... but I figure what the heck - my body is a natural disaster anyway... might as well seal its fate. 😉

What design should I get? I've narrowed it down... but there's still a wide variety...

Yeah... I'm thinking about it right now... I'll probably wimp out of it when I go to have it done... but that's a decision for the future.

Any thoughts?

please, for the love of God, dont get a nerd tattoo. that includes: binary, linux penguin, ms logo, pentium logo, athlon logo, etc., etc., you get the picture. thats all i ask. i once see a person who had their whole back tatted with binary code. nothing says "lay me!" like a tat of binary code running down your whole back.

/me prepares for flames because you prolly have a 'intel inside' tattoo on yer keister.

there's NO way i'm gonna have binary code covering my back... i want something rather small... maybe just one or two square inches... on my rear shoulder or maybe the top of my arm...

i really doubt i will get a company or product logo... i was most thinking about this or this.

nah, i was thinking more along the lines if i had a 'u' in my name, i would get a HUGE unreal tournament 'u' logo on my back.
 
im sorry but they alllllllllll suck. biohazard has been done to death... and those geek tattoos will get you beat up. and only girls can wear the playboy bunny on their body.

i agree that biohazard has been done to death...
i don't care what ppl think of geek tattoos...
and there's NO chance i'm gonna wear a playboy bunny, that's just in the folder for the heck of it
 
the back of both my legs are inked - color still looks great & I'm very happy with both designs
one of the best experiences of my life

some advice:
make sure the shop is VERY clean & check the artists portfolio to make sure he's capable of what you want

if you're worried about the pain don't do it - you're not ready

spend several months finding a design you like (don't get a piece of flash) - this will be on your body till it dies so choose wisely

after you get inked it will burn like a sunburn for a few weeks - keep it clean with soap & water and apply a little bit of lotion every few hours

and don't get any of those trendy flash designs you linked😉

At least you know what you it means, I can't believe the number of people who get Chinese Character tattoos and don't know the hell it means.

Here are my 4 tattoos... they are addicting i must admit

i'm one of those people who doesn't like the idea of getting any actual "things" tattooed on my body. This stems from the fact that I am partially colorblind, so I thought about getting a color wheel or rainbow tattoo with all the colors labeled, kinda like an inside joke to myself

then a few years later the rainbow became the gay symbol, so i decided that getting any actual "thing" tattooed on your body could eventually turn out bad down the road

i have curious george tattood on my shoulder.. i love it.. and when i get back from boot camp, i'll probably get another. I dont want to deal with waivers right now.
 
Test-drive it first with some decent quality body paints. If you're just going for the shock value, stick to temporary artwork. Trust me, it works. 😉

So, why are you getting this again?
