Design something meaningful...copying someone's else tatoo will result you regretting it.

I have 2 tattoos.
One a small dragon on my right forearm, the other a large dragon on my left upper arm/shoulder.

What design should I get? I've narrowed it down... but there's still a wide variety...

Yeah... I'm thinking about it right now... I'll probably wimp out of it when I go to have it done... but that's a decision for the future.

Any thoughts?

Drew

I have been thinking that in 20 years from now there is going to be a lot of money to made in tattoo remvoal.

I have this tatooed on my back (sans word). It's my middle name.

At least you know what you it means, I can't believe the number of people who get Chinese Character tattoos and don't know the hell it means.
I tell people with Chinese tats that I speak Chinese and their tat says "Pork Fried Rice" :)

I did see one hippy dude with a tat he said means "Earth" when in fact it was the Chinese word for "Dirt" -- oops!

The one and only tattoo I want, nobody has been able to draw to my liking.
Just a heron (great white) spread eagled holding a sword in it's claws with a rose or two twined around it.
It would have to be kinda large though. I don't think it would fit on my arm. At least not with any signifigance.

That will be the only tattoo I would ever get... I think.

Yeah, i have tattoos. Left shoulder has the chinese character for 'patience'... and inbetween my shoulder blades on my back, my name in Chinese goes down it (3 characters long). I've been thinking on getting some more work done, but i like original stuff, so i need to find somebody to draw me a flash.

You think that's bad... i knew a guy in prison that had one on his back that was suppose to mean 'power' or 'strength'... but it was the word 'fake'.

I think that fits me because I have been said to be "resistant" to change... and tho that's not completely true, it's not completely false, and I kinda like it... it's really small... ppl won't noticeably see it unless they look for it...

I am getting this tattooed to my lower back after graduation. I wasn't allowed to get one before then do to parents threatening to cut me off. But after grad I am getting my own paycheck, and living on my own, so who's to say no? LOL.

There is actually a whole story behind the tattoo, that I think has a really cool meaning. It's from a triliogy by Jacqueine Carey, read it to learn the story ;)

I have two. No pics right now..

I want another, and I have an idea of what'd like, however I'm waiting to find a great free hand artist first. I want it to be original.

My wife has two tattoos, one around her ankle and a large one on her lower back - it's a ying/yang symbol within a sun. Kinda neat, especially when I have full view of it ;)

I've had this idea in the back of my mind since High School (I'm 30-something now). I've always wanted a shark on my shoulder. Never really found one I liked... I designed a tribal shark myself once, but then realized the tribal stuff was a trend that would fade. Sigh. Then I came up with having a rippling ocean surface on my arm all around near my shoulder, with a shark's dorsal fin sticking up. Perfect!

Then I thought about things for a moment... I wasn't worried about the pain of the needle on my shoulder or the outside of my arm, but this band would be about 3" below my armpit... I grabbed a paper clip, bent one leg out, and poked myself gently in the area inside my arm the band would go...

OUCH!!!

N/M... I'm a wussy...

you can do it. it's all mind over matter. i have a band around my right bicep and the inside arm parts were definitely more sensitive but you can control your reaction to the pain.

Damn, beat me to it.

If it were me I would probably get the molecular structure of Tetrahydrocannabinol since my initials are THC. Having a hippie mom is cool.
