When I say upper arm, I mean it in a way so it cannot be seen with regular clothes. I'm not decided between the arm and the upperback, just below the neckOriginally posted by: yamahaXSi suggest H-A-T-E across the knuckles on 1 hand and L-O-V-E across the other hand. this will really make the right impression when you go for that job interview!

I do believe it is spelled tattoo. Yes, with two T's in the middle.

Argument I heard tonight against getting a tattoo:
"When I'm 80, that rose on my tit will look like a gunshot wound."

I am starting to regret my New Kid's on the Block tat I got back in the late 80's. I thought that band would be around forever, they were so young and hip, but here I am stuck with a New Kid's mural on my chest.![]()

It can stretch out a little but today's tats are much better than the old WWII sailors' tats. I would also be careful getting the AC/DC tat, but do what you want. I was thinking seriously about getting the Metallica 4-M ninja star on my upper arm/shoulder in black and red (although not the name Metallica or anything, just the star thing so that I know and other Metallica fans would recognize it) b/c it represents a certain time and a huge range of emotions in my life, but I haven't done it yet....that and the fact that after hearing St. Anger I'd be embarrassed with the tattoo![]()

Ah... love how so many people are willing to judge others. Look if a tattoo, earring or hairstyle gets in the way of someone trying to get a job... then he wasn't cut out for the job anyway. I mean come on, if a guy comes in, has the sickest resume and is obviously smart and eager to learn from the interview, I wouldn't give a sh!t if the guy came in with a bar through his head and a tattoo covering his face. And if you can judge someone by what the person is wearing or presents himself... go ahead and stereotype. That's your freaking problem, not theirs.
Anyway, dude, get WHATEVER you want as long as you stated.. it represents some more on a deeper scale. A lot of my bros, they have our fraternitery letters tatted on their body, or brands and who am I to judge? For me personally, I value our motto more than just the letters, which is why I chose to get a brand of the motto in Chinese characters. Your body, do whatever you want man...
As for the tattoo aging question, I think as long as you take REALLY good care of it in the beginning, I think you are set. You probably have to get touch ups every so often (I'm talking years)...

you can get it, but the lightning bolt is a common SS tattoo (nazi), I'd make sure it says AC/DC somewhere

You must have never been in a position of real (management slash hiriing) power...and thank goodness. If you think for a second that they tolerate this in the "real" world, you must be kidding. Sure there are some companies that are pretty laxed and do care only about qualifications, but there are others that have an image to uphold.
