Not another fucking taser/cop abuse thread. Sheesh.

Maybe when Quick-Draw McGraw pigs stop using tasers like cowboys prodding cattle the taser threads will stop.

LOL, someone got stopped by the bicycle cops for riding their skateboard on the sidewalks again......

Seriously, if you don't understand what's going on here just wait a few years.

Adult maturity makes things like this a lot easier to comprehend.

Yes, that's what it must be. I got harassed by the pigs while riding my skateboard when I was 14. 20 years ago.

Why is that internet tough guys like Deuchebagalus immediately assume that anybody who distrusts government is a punk teenager? Someone better tell my wife she's a child molester and not actually married to the IT Manager of a $60M/yr company.

So what's your excuse for being so fucking stupid, Deudalus? Are you an angst ridden teenager? Go back to cutting yourself and writing shitty poetry in a cry for attention, loser.

oh, cool we can use insults here.
Why are you so fucking stupid to think that anyone that knows IT mangers would think you have 1 working brain cell in your head?
Tazers save more lives than they take. You can have cops with guns and tazers, or just guns. Which one do you want?

If the cops don't have any "working brain cells" in their heads then they shouldn't have either.

In a perfect world police departments would not hire stupid people with hot tempers and a propensity to let power go to their head. In this case, yeah the driver was being difficult but all the officer had to do was write "refused to sign" on the ticket and go on his way. But no, he had to go John Wayne on the guy and pull him out of the car to arrest him. Poor behavior.

And I don't see how anyone can defend the cop for tasering the guy the SECOND time after he was already on the ground. That's just inexcusable.

How can you get tasered over a stupid speeding ticket. That just does not make sense. Both the driver and cop are the stupidest pair of idiots I have ever seen. Just take the ticket and leave. That is all the guy had to do. No, he gets out of the car and then argues with the police officer, putting his child and wife at risk.

I have this thing against tasers. I think they should be illegal.

You taser a person then you watch him fall as his head hits the pavement. That is cruel and unusual punishment.

He didn't get tasered over the speeding ticket...he got tasered for trying to leave after the officer told him he was under arrest.
COULD it have been handled better? Sure, but IMO, the cop really didn't do anything wrong. The speeder COULD have just signed the ticket and gone on his way, then argued it in court...but NO...he had to be argumentative with the cop instead. When the cop told him he was arresting him for faiure to sign the citation, (completely legal, and in some jurisdictions, the only option) he tried to argue with the cop some more, then turned around and headed for his car. At ANY point, the guy could have prevented the final outcome by just signing the ticket. Would it have been better if the cop would have shot him for trying to flee? How about if the cop would have thumped the shit out of him with his night stick?
Personally, I hope the guy gets charged with felony evasion for attempting to leave, especially since he can't be charged with felony stupidity.

Cop told the guy to put his hands on the police car, guy turned around and started to walk back to his own car. Maybe the cop was being an ass, but the tazer was justified IMO.

Is force of that sort justified in your mind in order to compel acceptance of a civil citation? Unless that guy was going super fast or doing something else dangerous the speeding ticket was likely just a civil infraction, ie. on the same order as a parking ticket. Should meter maids carry tazers to zap people who rip up their parking tickets?

IMO, that use of force was totally unjustified.

I saw NO evidence of that guy threatening the cop.

I only saw him move away from the cop after the cop drew on him, a natural reaction IMO.

So, if we don't follow orders fast enough to their liking we get tased like cattle?

What BS. :|

The cop jumped at the first chance he had to arrest the guy, and then jumped at the first chance he had to assault him. This is inexcusable.
