ABC Server Status

It looks like we ran them out of work. :p

Some of my machines get upset when I have BAM tell them to switch projects, so I think I'll just leave them as they are on ABC for now and hope they get more work soon.

Just for info: Looks like Junta left our TeAm again. He's now part of Team Norway. At least that's the case for the projects I crunch for and checked. Can some of you look at their projects to verify this?

I PMed him and asked why, but didn't get an answer yet.

:(

Congrats Rudy!

You're really putting the heat on, I was about to pass you in combined stats but you're making a race of it. I can't keep up!

Thank-you, gentlemen!

I look at this effort like a musher looks at his dog team on the Iditarod Trail on the way to Nome, Alaska. All the dogs work together in the same direction and with the same goal. The only advantage the lead dog has is a better view!

Playing with some goals on the current top 3 dogs:

blert should assume the lead dog position shortly while also breaking the 300K mark. He should pass the 400K milestone on May 27.

biodoc will pass the 300K mark shortly. He will pass the 400K milestone on the last day.

Rudy Toody will pass the 400K milestone about 8 hours after biodoc on the last day.

I cannot check the others because the stats updates are in remission.

I just had to bump this quote.

Go Rudy Toody!!!

On a more somber note -- I'm out of ABC@Home WU's and I can't seem to get more. I have activated Rosetta@Home so that my computers can stay busy -- Is anyone else having any trouble??

:(

You guys are kicking butt. I'm still unpacking. :D

ABC appears to be out of work (http://abcathome.com/forum_thread.php?id=353) even though server status says a few WU's are available. It also looks like sent WU's are only added to pending credit. I've sent in some 5k points today but my total hasn't gone up since this morning...

yoyoyoyoyo :)

Thanks for the glimpse into the future Fred, but unless I have some work going on by tomorrow morning I'll switch over to something else...

Not that I want to, but the "kids" are hungry and want something to "crunch" on.... heh...

If they don't have more work by tomorrow, we won't make the 400K this month.

I'm going to crank up POEM@Home later tonight to take up the slack and to help them with CASP8.

I'm hoping that most of us on this project will do the POEM-Athon against a bunch of other teams instead of splitting us up between POEM and Rosetta for a mini-race. I think that with this horsepower, we could give them a run for the money!

Darn--I thought I was having network issues on my box and reset it.

Congrats to all of the milestone makers!

ok .... What's up??

It's been about 17 hours since I first noticed this problem, and still, no work units.

WTF????

I tried the link to the forum, but it didn't work. I think I'm going to have to get an ABC@Home forum account so that I cna find out more.

I went to the ABC@Home web page to see if there is an announcement concerning the problem and discovered that Rudy Toody is the user of the day!!

There was, however, no announcement regarding the current problem.

hmmmm ... very interesting.

I'm crunching Rosetta.

I have 8 WUs left on my FX-60 now splitting time with POEM@Home.

The 2 quads are 100% POEM.

The ESL is now on POEM and doing almost 700K/day! They will pass us today!
