Here is a prognosis:
The TeAm will reach the 6.0 million milestone, possibly the 6.5 million credits.
The TeAm's production will be approx. 6 million credits in one month.
Our lead will be approximately 1.3 million credits, if not Seti.USA does something ...
This will be the best TAS-month ever.

Actually, if you use the daily output for the past 10 days for us and Seti.USA instead of the current RAC numbers (which aren't very accurate), we should have roughly 6.7 million points at the end of the month with a lead of about 2.8 million over the Seti team. 😉

You may very well be right, Fardringle. There is one factor not taken into account: very often, by the end of the month, the production of TAS drops quite a lot ... sometimes by as much as 40 - 50%. Therefore my somewhat 😉 conservative estimate ...
I do not mind being wrong in this matter, though ...

Too much month left! My goal of 250K was reached much sooner that I expected. I have 2 quads going on Aqua again to see if I can reach 350K.

Did you get your Phenom II yet?

I've just bought one online today. 🙂

I have it! Next month I will get the cases modded to put in some air filters and get some brackets made for the chip-set heat sinks. Then I will build the water-cooled rigs. One Phenom II 940 and one Phenom 9850BE.

Hi guys.

How do I join auqa@home with TAS ??

When I go to "Attatch to Project":

It asks "new user" or "existing user"

email, etc, etc.

Also, I am in the market for a new PCIE video card for gaming, should I go ATI or NVIDIA
I want to crunch on the video card.

Thanks.

You join by creating your own account:
1. If you have not done it before, get BOINC from here.
2. When installing the BOINC manager opens a window to allow you to attach to a project.
3. You will see a list of projects, choose Aqua@home.
4. Onthe next page choose new user if you haven't crunched Aqua before.
5. Enter a e-mail addy, and a password (your choice, just do not forget them), these are your log-in credentials.
6. The BOINC manager will start downloading the workunits and crunching application.

7. Open the browser of your choice and go the Aqua's site (most simple way: click on the Aqua@home button in the BOINC manager)

8. Click on Yor Account and log-in using your e-mail addy and password.
Now you may want to join the team ...
9 Click on the "find team" link and follow the instructions ... do not forget the last step: click on the "join" link ...

If you already have BOINC installed choose "Tools" and then "Attach to project". From there it is the same procedure as from step 3 above ...

I hope this is clear enough. If not, please post and we will try to help.

About the PCI-e card: if you want to crunch Folding@home or seti@home (which also can use a video-card) you may want to get a NVIDIA-card because it is - AFAIK - much more effective. With ATI you can crunch Folding@home, but not seti@home.

Thanks petrusbroder.

I have one 5200 running auqa@home for "TeAm AnandTech", tomorrow I will put the other 2 on.

TAS crunches under "TeAm AnandTech" ???

I was looking for TAS under TeAm AnandTech .....

🙂

Glad to have you onboard!! 🙂

For my video card I have a NVidia 8800GT that does a great job at F@H but I was looking to replace it with ATI 4850 or 4870 because of my gaming needs. 😉

Yes TAS - as a miniteam and part of TeAm AnadTech - crunches under TeAm AnandTech. It is the stats-master's job to keep track of the TAS-members and to do the stats.
This month I am stats-master, other statsmasters are BlackMountainCow, FullMetal Chocobo and Tom Philippart ... if one TAS-members does the stats, he or she is the statsmaster.

It's good to see that you're still up and running. I've been out of touch for a few days. How's the math project going?

It's not as ridiculous as MilkyWay and POEM@Home, but it's definitely one of the top projects for fast points.

Just wish Milkyway was running a bit more stable. I just can't seem to be getting any WU's. What is POEM and what are the credits like?
