Important message from the admins of TAS:

End of edit.

December is knocking on the door, with snow in the yard, ice on the streets, -8 degrees C and dark for 20 hours a day (that is in northern Sweden).

We are having a Mini Team Race for our monthly project: TAS-F@H vs Folders.
The stats will be in a separate thread which I hope we could get pinned.

So lets saddle up the comps, vacuum the heat sinks and fans, optimize the programs (have you removed all those un-necessary applications from RAM?) - and crunch!

May science win!
Lets have fun!

Although I'm not participating in this race -keeping all my power on Rosetta to keep TA on world rank #9 - I'm really looking forward to it. All the threads so far were really funny to read and I sense some real competitive spirit here!

:p Go TAS Go :p

Thanks Peter :)

HeHe, the stats take about one to two hours to update so WUs sent in will probably count toward the race!

And I don't have anything to send in until later tonight :(

Being a long time Seti Classic guy, and just now jumping into the "fold".... answer me a couple of questions...... what place is the TeAm in and who is our closest rival? Classic was always in battle with BBR, who is our Folding rival?

Looking forward to the race.

We're in 25th place right now, and kinda stuck in neutral. There aren't any real rivals that I know of, but we still have a blast folding.

Looking forward to the race.

We have 2 teams on our overtake radar:
General [M]ayhem (9 Months)
The Knights Who Say Ni! (2.9 Years)

A while back Dutch Power Cows rallied and passed us.

It would be nice to pass them back!

They are only out producing us by 5,000 + ppd. Because of the race and TAS we will have them on our overtake list shortly :D

I think we can trim back those overtake estimates. I have a feeling quite a few Seti Classic folks will learn to fold in the very near future. Two weeks, and the rest of my fleet will join the cause, including two Intel Xeon servers, and from what I hear, the super secret golden WU's love Intel for some strange reason :D

Only problem being that the other teams may get the Classic crowd switching too. Although we do have a lot of Classic crunchers. :)

OK. The race is on. It "only" the stats now.

I will do stats on December 2 , 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
December 8 - 9 I am away from my home, I have guests December 10 - 11, so there will be some stats-outages. :Q
If anybody wants to update the stats, just let me know ... ;)
After December 12 there are no more stats-outage-problems ... :D - unless of course the computers crash, the internet collapses, or any other kind of calamity occurs ... :( :)

Have a nice week end, TAS-mates! :D

It's indeed one of the few bad things about the TA forums, that there just isn't any native column/spacing support.

Thanx Peter!

And yeah the spacing sux!! I remember when I did the DPAD and Lifemapper stats by hand before soni made a program for collecting the stats and making them cool.. it really is an effort to space the stuff so it looks like something!

Well, you made a program to take care of that ... that means that you know how ...
What is a poor guy to do ;) , who knows only Pascal, Basic and not very much more ...
May be I should learn something new - the big Q is what?
But it will look better. Got some very nice tricks from the team mates! :D
That will help! :)

Peter, you're going to give yourself an ulcer! ;)

Everyone is very happy that you are taking the time and interest to do the stats (how boreing would this be with out our and those like you?

You can spruce them up if you want to, but you can also leave them just as they are.... You'll get a  and a  from me (and, I bet most everyone else too) either way!

-Sid

PS: TAS is kicking some major AZZ in the race!
