Difference between Free-DC and Team Anadtech: 70 337 credits. (yesterday: 80 713). 😀

(they gonna probably burp soon and then the difference will be 100 000 credits again - they have done so before ...) 😛

Go TeAm Go!

Shush. LALALALALALlalalala...

Nothing to see here. Please move along.

These are not the bots you're looking for. 😀

Inofficial catch-up of Free-DC in QMC@Home:

April 04 the difference was 96 945 credits,
April 11 the difference was 80 713 credits (mid-day numbers)
April 12 the difference was 70 337 credits (morning numbers...)
April 12 the difference was 67 235 credits (evening numbers...)

TA is still catching up ...

crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch crunch ... 😉

Hopefully not - but it may look that way - they produce less and less... :Q

but:

I have checked: one of their users (PCZ) has produced 105 000 credits (in about 18 days) and then stopped producing at all. On his best days the guy crunched 12 000 - 18 000 credits/day. He joined March 17, stopped production April 10; he accounts for 1/3 of all credits and 1/3 in all RAC for Free-DC. He had some 30 high-power computers crunching ... There are two Free-DC- members (Bok and Condor) crunching some 9 500 credits/day and the other produce the rest (together some 200 - 300 credist/day).
We have a chance...

Well I'm still having intermittent connection problems with uFluids, and I can't get any new work from Leiden Classical, so I may as well Attach a few more machines to the QMC project. 😉

EDIT: Apparently, a known issue with the Leiden project(and maybe others) is that you have to periodically detach and re-attach to get work sent out again.

I'm just curious as I missed the start of QMC: Are you guys holding back? Two days in a row I'm just second to amd.borg in TAS production and I'm in the top 10 producers of the world and that is NOT normal for my mini fleet. Are there some probs I don't know of, some cheating going on, or something completely different?

For each of my rigs that I've added projects to, they're sharing resources. In other words, I don't have any rigs running QMC as the sole BOINC project, so it might be a little strange if I say I'm adding an XP2500 to QMC when in reality, it's only getting maybe half the cpu cycles.

I do not think anybody is holding back, Christian.
QMC has sent out a bunch of very large WUs some time ago (up to 4 - 5 days of crunching for each WU) which really messes up the order in which BOINC crunches projects. Thus some comps get overcommitted and the deadline-method of crunching is used. Thus the WUs returned are far between. Some days ago QMC started sending out shorter WUs again, they give a better credit/WU ratio and therefore I have a lower RAC than you ...
Also quite a few crunchers have continued producing for SIMAP and other projects.

It'll all streighten out in a few days - I have only 4 - 5 of these very long WUs in my cache ... 🙁

Actually, I've been holding my own much better than I am used to with TAS also. I've only got one X2 crunching it.

That is just great, Networkman 😀. Please be aware of that we appreciate each and every contribution, no matter how small. Please do not feel pressed, that was not the intention. 🙂

Quick update on the the stats:

Team Anandtech is the top producer in the world - in matters RAC! We have passed Free-DC.
The difference between Free-DC and TA is now 65 384 credits - but the most of this day's credits have not been dumped yet - it is way too early to check! 😉

Way to crunch - more, More, MOre, MORe, MORE and MORE

I guess you're right. It's just that after I came back i didn't have any projects assigned to my PCs and no old WUs to finsh, so I attached them all to QMC only besides a small SETI cruncher. I guess that's why my production is so high - at least in my eyes - in comparison to former TAS months.

Speaking of production, I think that QMC yields a very good point per day / WU ratio. I reached 10,000 points much faster than I reached 5,000 points in Predictor.

yeah, QMC uses the same scoring system as Rosetta.

Generous Indeed!

Oh, what a nice day off from work.
I'll do some stats later today 🙂 :
Malaria, QMC, SIMAP and such ...

Hey Peter! I hope you're enjoying your day off work. Thanks as always for your stats updates and encouragement.

It sure is looking to be another great month here at TAS... lots of work for my comps on QMC and we have a chance at the top spot!

Questions for my TAS/QMC teammates: Have any of you noticed that QMC causes 1) big CPU heat, and 2) crashes overclocked systems? Temperatures are 5 degrees higher on most of my CPUs this month (and I don't think it's the springtime weather). Also I have had some overclocked computers which ran SIMAP perfectly last month lockup and freeze on some of the QMC work. Anyone here have any of the same problems?
