Shifting gears now on the Challenge, for me. Judging by my pending and daily production I need to ramp down pretty fast to meet my 80k target. I'm going to pull one or two fast boxes to Primegrid, maybe some more RCN to edge over 200k and beyond. Good thing I looked now, because tomorrow morning would have been too late....

Hmm, I have also shifted gears - have approx 1400 pending credits, and 21 000 crunched ... it is easy to miss the goal.
According to my calculations I would have hit it tomorrow late @ night ;)

Better slow down ...

The current stats (July 20, 2007) in the TAS' July Challenge:

Credits to reach ____Credits now ____ % done ___ % from goal ___ Name
1 000 000 __________ 1 704.14 _______ 0.17% _____ 99.83% ____ Tallbill
__ 80 000 _________ 73 722.83 ______ 91.15% ______ 7.85% ____ caferace
__ 40 000 _________ 29 407.16 ______ 73.52% _____ 26.48% ____ BlackMountainCow

___ 5 750 __________ 5 190.89 ______ 90.28% ______ 9.72% ____ Tom Philippart

This looks really tense: caferace and Rudy Toody better slow down or the "pending credits" will take them over the goal!

This is really fun. who will get past his goal first?
Petrus?
Rudy?
Tom?
caferace?

TallBill and BMC are not so likely to pass their goals unless ... ;)

Today is a sad anniversary: it was 63 years ago some valiant German officers tried to assassinate Hitler - and - to the sorrow of the world - failed.
Lets remember those who tried and died: Claus v. Stauffenberg, Ludwig Beck, Henning v. Treschkoff, Friedrich Olbricht and quite a few others. /Off topic.

Pull the brakes, Rudy and Jim!
Rudy, you have way too many pending credits - more than 650 (if I summed them up correctly ...) ;)
caferace - you may have some 1 700 or so credits coming up --- watch out! :D
Tom, you may probably be quite comfy - approx. 100 - 110 credits coming up, but watch your WUs! :)

I did some detaching. Don't tell Mom. ;)

Unfortunately, I forgot to detach the 820D at work so that'll run until Monday, but it's a stock clocked machine. OTOH, I still have the belt. :D

I'd say it's a great anniversary, because at least someone tried! (and that comes from a German)

Back on topic:

The current stats (July 22, 05:52 UTC) in the TAS' July Challenge:

Credits to reach ____Credits now ____ % done ___ % from goal ___ Name[/color]
1 000 000 ___________ 1 704.14 ________ 0.17% ______ 99.83% ____ Tallbill
__ 80 000 __________ 75 940.28 _______ 94.93% _______ 5.07% ____ caferace
__ 40 000 __________ 29 469.79 _______ 73.67% ______ 26.33% ____ BlackMountainCow
__ 35 000 __________ 34 718.53 _______ 99.20% _______ 0.80% ____ Rudy Toody
__ 25 000 __________ 22 775.34 _______ 91.10% _______ 8.90% ____ Petrusbroder
___ 5 750 ___________ 5 394.12 _______ 93.81% _______ 6,19% ____ Tom Philippart

Tom Philippart, Rudy Toody, petrusbroder and caferace are less than 9% from their goal. Rudy Toody is less than 1% from his goal. If Rudy gets all his pending credits he will be within 12 credits from his goal, that is 0,034% If Rudy Toodys granted credits are just 13 more than the pending he will get over the goal ... this is so tense!
A real challenge!

We will see within the next two - three days whar happens ...

Good luck all challengers!

I made a mistake! I thought I was restarting RCN but restarted LC (with 3 WUs left) instead. I ended up over somewhat-- 35042.61, but it's been coming down a bit. I'm now at 35,030.77. I don't think I'll get under it now. The 3 extra WUs added about 26 points.

A similar post is in the regular TAS-member thread.

I am leaving to morrow for an unexpected vacation - my wife got 2 weeks off :D - and we do not want to miss out. :sun:
I have asked some team mates to take care of the poll and the Challenge stats. ;)

Take care, enjoy life and have fun!

___ 5 750 ___________ 5 721.67 _______ 99.51% _______ 0.49% ____ Tom Philippart

Rudy Toody has already stated that he has too many pending credits and will go over by about 28 points.

Tom Philippart, caferace, and Petrusbroder are nip-and-tuck. The others are waiting for these three to pull a Toody.

I'm going to pull a "toody". I forgot I had it installed on the dual-core at my stepfathers, and he turned it back on recently. Ooops.

The outcome of the challenge is now - as I see it - a matter of pending credits. I have a proposal for comments:

1. As long as pending credits do come in and as long at least two competitors still are below their goal, the challenge continues.
2. If the competitors' (please observe the plural!) credits do not change for 72 hours (three full days) this is regarded as the final outcome.
3. If the pending credits keep coming in, the challenge will end at midnight (UTC) between the third and fourth day of the following month, in this case: August 3rd, 23:59:59:99 (hours:minutes:seconds:1/100 second) ;)
4. If pending credits continue coming in for the last challenger, and if the last challenger passes his goal before August 3rd, 23:59:59:99, then there will be no winner since the challenge was to reach but not to pass the goal.

Please comment on this proposal. I think that we have to agree on them before the end of the month. Rudy Toody will be responsible for the challenge in my absence ...

I have stopped Leiden Classical on all my computers - if all the pending credits come in I'll be within 10 -15 credits of my goal.
I may still pull a "toody" if I I get more granted credits then there are pending ...
If I am to get past Tom I'll need to get more then 24 895 credits (and less than 25 000) - thats a hard one ...

It may really be that BMC gets the belt ... that would be fun! :D
