Tanning does NOT make you more attractive.

I think moderate tanning is good. I tan very easily, so I end up with massive farmer tan lines. I'd like my body to have an even, natural look to it. Not a clear cut tan/white line.

Im a guy. I go tanning. Im not orange or brownish.

I do it because it makes you look more defined.

actually the paler you are, the darker shadows you create between folds of your skin, making you look more "ripped"

:beer::thumbsup:

and some girls are born with a nice tan so they don't look orange like some people do

i don't think that's technically a tan though 😀

Whatever blondie 😛 you live in the booths 😛

I am brown, so im already pre-tanned

But I like when I end up darker in summer after being out alot... but I do not go tanning to tanning salons or sit at a beach to tan

I personally cannot stand orange tan, I like people who have a natural tan if they have been outside similar to myself. I dislike pasty white.

If someone had been tanning at a salon, and it was not orange or super deep, then it would not bother me.

my 2c

So there is exactly 36 extremely metro and/or gay guys so far to submit their answers in this poll. I thought it would be a bit higher.

Weird that its almost exactly 50/50 on whether it makes people look better. Some people may look better doing it but I still think their dumb to do it

Wow, I read half this thread, and Accipiter22 is one judgemental mother ******.
Aren't other people allowed to have opinions, and more importantly why are you always right? Man, this thread really just pisses me off...the fact that other people aren't even allowed to have other opinions than you without being "morons" makes you - and anyone who shares that belief - judgemental and socially isolated and steers a path for lifelong failures.

Telling everyone else that you're universally right and anyone who disagrees is universally wrong is a good way to end up singlee, living in a studio apartment, working an isolated job because your social skills are so bad that no one will even want to deal with you.

And that's exactly what seems to be going on here

Never in the history of sex has ANY guy said 'you know what I want tonight? A lady with blond hair...blue eyes....and skin the color of a rotting pumpkin'.

OP is probably cruising towards a vacation, but oh man, this is the funniest post/thread I've read on ATOT.

You should quit your day job now and become a comedian so you get paid to pi** off people instead of just getting half the forum on your a**.

WRONG. You look like a moron. It does not make you look more defined. Darker colors wouldn't lead to an illusion of more definition. It leads to the conclusion that you're paying someone to give you melanoma.

You have your opinion, and you're entitled to it, but do yourself and us a favor and don't shove it down people's throats.

You should probably take that self-righteous attitude and use it somewhere it's more common..live environmentalism.

I'm Italian...of course I'm tan. And sorry, I don't look like a rotting pumpkin...I have olive colored skin. 😉

Rose McGowan is hot, due in large part to her perfect porcelain complexion. If she tanned she'd look like crap.

Pretty sure that whole red head thing has something to do with it. 😉

I am not allowed to have a opinion?

I never heard of her until you posted, she does look good. In general i dislike pasty white.

Accipter22, what the hell crawled up your ass and died? Calm down, you flaming idiot. You're making dmcowen look smart and reasonable.

Tanning doesn't make ugly people look better so stop hating on the good looking out there who look even better with a tan. 🙂

Like most all things, it is best in moderation. A light tan can look good but too many white girls go too far and get a deep leathery looking tan.

Such anger....why?

I agree with both of these, the second because this OP is using an awful lot of caps in his responses, and the first because a bit of a tan is proof that you go outside every once in a while and at least have a little bit of a life.

And of course as I type this I'm reminded of myself and this quote I once saw by The Linuxator, "I once tried stepping outside my house, and my neighbor told me an early morning joke I said LMAO, he didn't understand I said ROFL, he didn't either so I just went back to my basement 🙁"

Though of course I say a bit of a tan, not brown (when you're not supposed to be anyway) and definately not orange. Can you even get an orange tan without some kind of spray-on or something?

You couldn't PAY me to get NEAR a tanning booth. I get plenty tan during the summer from being outside as it is, even with sunblock. Heck I used to have a nice tan because I played tennis almost every day.

I'm not speaking of going outside and doing something, I mean like a tanning bed. Sorry if it came off that way.
