I'm looking to buy the DVD of TN for my dad tonight on amazon. The reviews there sayd the uncut version actually has parts removed that were in the theatrical version!? And says the added parts make the movie worse. But it seems to imply that the PG13 version has nothing cut from the theatrical version? Is that true?

that part is true. I don't know if the PG13 one has everything in it though.

it was just a silly, stupid, lol'ish movie.

i enjoyed it.

a will ferrell movie you MUST watch is Stranger than Fiction. Great, enjoyable movie. Not really comedic, but just a really cool story. loved it.

Will Ferrell movies most worth watching:
Elf
Stranger than Fiction

wtf

Elf is freaking hilarious! I love that movie. it's one of my favorite will ferrell movies.

Elf was quite good. Anchorman and TN were blah. Old School was funny. I hear Stranger than Fiction is remarkable.

Elf was good and had heart. The scenes with Bob Newhart as the elf father were hilarious.

Anchorman was silly but the fight between all the news teams still has me laughing.

Still haven't seen Old School.

Ben Stiller showing up as the Spanish channel had me  until the end of the scene. And the pitchfork or trident or whatever it was Steve Carell's character threw :laugh::laugh:

Does anyone?

If so I'll get the PG13, but that still sucks though because although the uncut version has the extra footage that people said wasn't good and ruined the flow of the movie, that DVD also has other stuff in the extras that the PG13 DVD doesn't.

i saw it in theaters and thought it was ok but nothing special
watched it on BD on a plasma then an lcd. was funnier 2nd and 3rd time around especially since you have time to notice more things so it is ok but def not the greatest movie of the year

also have a question. will's main sponser was Wonder Bread, was this deliberate? as in White bread? etc, a friend brought this up and i was all crap it might be

I thought it was okay. I didn't think it lived up to the greatness that is Anchorman but then again I didn't think Anchorman was that special the first time I saw it either.

i guess so

thing was, when you saw them in the context within the movie, even they were not that funny...at all...seriously people...this movie was just deplorable.

yea, that's what I'm thinking. The whole "dear baby jesus"/grace scene dragged on for 5 minutes it seemed... and it just wasn't that funny. The commercial made it seem funny, but it wasn't.

There's a lot of instances in this movie where it was actually funny, but because they dragged it out, it became boring

Just got done watching it...

Loved Anchorman. Loved Old School. Loved Zoolander.

But this movie was absolute crap. I felt like EVERY scene dragged on for 15 minutes longer than it needed to. The funny is no longer spontaneous and funny, when it goes on and on and on, over and over. Even the way the scenes are cut, it's like the characters were waiting for the next line to be delivered.

This coming from a person who watches movies simply to be entertained for a couple hours. Bummer, cuz it could've been great...

I'm sad to say that the Tenacious D movie was worse... go see it if you don't believe me. Talladega Nights wasn't all that bad, but The Pick of Destiny should have been cut down to less than an hour.

agree with the other posters, while it was awful this was one of the worst movie years in decades, there was much worse fare out there

I really liked the cougar scene, and I thought Cohen's character was pretty funny. I thought his acting would really make me cringe, but it didn't; he's quite a solid actor.

The whole baby Jesus eternity-joke wasn't so fun, and neither was 'Shakeandbake'.

Ron Burgundy: Boy, that escalated quickly... I mean, that really got out of hand fast.
Champ Kind: It jumped up a notch.
Ron Burgundy: It did, didn't it?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart.
Ron Burgundy: I saw that. Brick killed a guy. Did you throw a trident?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.
Ron Burgundy: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

Anchorman just gets better and better everytime I see it.

You know what, this whole page kicks ass: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0357413/quotes

Talladega Nights Is The Worst Movie Ever. And Hollywood makes lots of BAD movies My wife and I Love movies. We Love Nascar. We have no favorite in Nascar which allows us to always enjoy the races becasue we never have a loser. There are two things we both agree on. Talladega Nights Is The Worst Movie Ever and Kyle Bush is the Biggest Brat Nascar has ever had. We also have noticed that Darryl Waltrip who stared in Talladega Nights The Worst Movie Ever is either in love with Kyle or has a Lexus in his driveway or both.:D

We stayed through the whole movie but asked for our money back and were denied because we stayed for the whole movie. We want our time back.
