Outside the 5 point? That's a shame, it's one of my fav dives in Seattle. GREAT after-hours breakfast.

As for Leykis, I'm no more fond of him than I am of any other talk show jerkoff, but I don't think he deserved to beaten either. That's just not right.

The article didn't say anything about loss of consciousness. Also, anyone who can stretch worth a damn or almost do the splits can kick someone else in the head. It's really not that hard. And, if you know where the four knock-out zones are on the head, it's not hard to do.
Um.... how many guys do you know who come anywhere close to a split and haven't had any martial arts training?
The only other people who would have a reason to stretch that much would be serious athletes.

Perhaps he shouldn't have said some of the things he's said, but that doesn't make it OK for anybody to kick him in the head. It's an old cliché, but two wrongs don't make a right.

I'll agree with that.

I'll also say, though, that I find Tom Leykis an arrogant, woman-hating windbag, and to some degree I think he's just reaping what he's sown. He seems to screen his callers more than just about any radio host out there, to ensure that only adoring sycophants can get through to him, and for every decent point he makes (and he does make some), the listener has to endure a good half hour of his bloated bloviating. He treats people badly, and advocates others doing the same. To paraphrase Al Franken, Tom Leykis is a big fat idiot, and on some level he probably needed a good kick in the head.

DonVito,

I my statement was not a defense of Leykis, it was a condemnation of the person who assaulted him. (And as I read your post, I'm sure you understand that.)

I've heard of Leykis, but I've never heard his show. I'm sure I wouldn't want to anyway.

Cheers! :)

I am unfamiliar with his radio show or anything else he's done. The only thing I've heard is that he released the name of Kobe Bryant's accuser, which is, frankly, just f%$#ed up. There's a reason why their names are kept out of the public view, and regardless of whether they're telling the truth or not it's up to the courts to decide that. Giving the public the opportunity to harrass(sp?) a potential rape victim is just wrong, legally and morally.

Just so you know, I'm very unconvinced that Kobe did it. The whole thing smells funny.

A woman who gets raped doesn't brag about having sex just before and just after being raped, shortly after the "rape" happened. She didn't get raped. She just wanted to bone Kobe and now wants to get his money.

Yup. And the BEAUTY of it is that she WILL NOT win the Criminal Case. (Unanimous.) And *even* if she wins the Civil, I heard that the most she is entitled to under Colorado law....is $700,000! HAHAHAHA! Was it worth it you stupid $#@$#@$@#. After all that, you're going to get just that much, for runing someone's career and your name.

That's a shame. I hope they catch the fvcker who kicked him. The Tom Leykis show is the most entertaining talk radio when I drive home from work.

Agreed. If you are going to insult people, then part of being a man is realizing that at some point, if you keep pushing, you WILL end up in a physical confrontation.
And then you better be able to back it up.
Edit: or know when to STFU
