I'm bored, and I'm just thinking of my gf.
I'm just curious what you guys are thinking about your significant others at the moment. How long have you been going out? How did you ask her/him out or how did he/she ask you out? What kind of things if anything do you do regularly for one another?
Will you do something for valentine's day? Will you go all out and do or get something crazy, or will simply spend nice quality time with each other? If you are college students, how do you work around each others' schedules? Is it tough, is it worth it?
Etc etc etc. Being in a relationship has made me curious of everyone else's.
What made you decide to go out? Did you have a relationship based on "wow, she's hot.. i'm gonna ask her out..", or, were you friends, had an extremely good and close friendship, and took the initiative to take it a step further? Do you jump from relationship to relationship or do you look for long lasting ones?
I met my gf about a month into last semester (first semester of first year college) through a friend I made in my english class. I was mainly that person's friend for most of the time, until we all started hanging out a lot more during our breaks between classes. Eventually I ended up stuck with my gf (not gf at the time) alone a couple times... being the non-talkative, not-very-social type of person I am, I was worried about making convo. I was surprised that it was actually alright hanging out with her. We got along in a weird kinda way and it was cool. From that point on we just were casual friends, with our friendship evergrowing.
After a while, we had this thing where I would let her lean on me if I took the bus with her, and stuff like that. The understanding was still we were just friends though, very clearly. But it was just increasing a little all the time, but wasn't spoken about. Eventually it came to the point where it was almost normal for me to have my arm around her while watching a movie or something. And we were getting comments from people, thinking we were a couple.
Eventually it was getting to me, cause I was really getting attached to her, but I had no idea how she felt and I had no idea if she even considered a relationship at all. But 10 days ago, I settled it.
That 10 days ago was a thursday, and we talked for about 4hrs about the whole thing. I had to have it one way or another, not sometimes cuddly behavior and sometimes regular... it was too screwy for me to keep going on like that. And at the end it was settled, we would have a relationship.
it didn't click till a while later.. hehe.
But I'm happy now, and she seems to be too. But we have to work it around our schedules, and her school is still her #1 priority, but that's good and I admire that, wish I could do the same. She wants to be a doctor.
Anyway, share your experiences.
