<< The warning came as fundamentalist Taliban clerics in the capital used Friday prayers to urge the world's Muslims to unite against the U.S. >>

We are in a war against terrorism. They know they haven't got a shot in hell of winning it...so they are trying to make it a religious war. Us against them...They have a remote shot of winning that war.

However, last time I checked not that many God's beloved in killing non-believers, Allah included.

Relatives already are telling me to get transfer to a less important area. Philly ain't safe. I had a hard time explaining we have nothing in Philly that is important. But, still maybe I have to search for a job in Alabama now.

Sometimes all you can answer is with a Simpson's quote:

[Chief Wiggum]

Oh yeah, how're you gonna get us... "skeleton power"?

The more of this that I see, the more I get the feeling that there is going to be a lot of stuff hitting the fan in a rather short amount of time. Threaten the US, sheesh, that'd be like me (6'0" 140 lb) threatening Hulk Hogan.

Man, I never thought I'd hear that on TV! Franklin Graham, Billy Graham's son, called for the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction on CNN!

Crap, I just hope we don't have Christian extremists now... We should just leave religion out of this.

again I think we have to pay special attention to terrorist activity within the US.

What are other "sleeping" cells capable of?

You know, the Taliban isn't stupid....it takes some amount of intelligence to remain in control of such a country that is in constant state of turmoil.... OBL and the Taliban are in cahoots...that much is obvious.

Follow my train of thought here.....OBL communicates to the Taliban that he has these plans for destruction....do you think the Taliban just turned a blind eye??? OF COURSE they could forsee the possible retaliation of our country against theirs....it is an obvious course of action for us.

BUT OBL may have reassured the Taliban that these attackes against Washington and the WTC are just a precursor.......think about it. If I was a government official in Afghanistan and I heard of these plans of OBL, I would be the first to serve him up to the US with apologies for not doing it sooner. But since the talisban is taking this stance against the US.....you have to think that they still have an ACE up their sleeve....PLUS they spout out vague comments of attacking the US "By other means" WTF does that mean????

Again, we want to beleive that these leaders are plain stupid to rally against the US and her allies.....but that would be ignorant on our part to think so......no?

Holy hell.... these christian extremists are almost as scary as the muslim ones.
ALMOST. Until they drive passenger planes into buildings the muslim extremists will hold the top spot on my sh!t list.

The sad fact of the matter is, terrorists will always escalate the conflict to the next level. First it was shootings, then car bombings... airports... cruise ships... office buildings... the WTC.

The question is not whether they will use weapons of mass destruction, but when.

This is the time to make a very difficult decision, but it is a decision that should be made.

Nuke the bastards.

i agree with orbyte. i think what the taliban means by "other means" is that they will just go completely suicidal and shoot out nukes or whatever they have if they are attacked. i mean why would they not?? they dont have anything to lose by destroying the world.

This is precisely why we should:
1) Use EMP to disable their electronics (and hopefully nukes.)
2) Then nuke the bastards.

Whatever happens, we must not use nuclear warheads of any kind. As soon as one goes, everyone else who has them will want to try their's out. Last thing we need is nuclear winter worldwide. Someone's IM profile had this quote: "An eye for an eye, and the world goes blind." Anyone nukes us, and we nuke back, that's just that much more radioactive material in the atmosphere that we ALL have to share. Let's do what we can to prevent what supposedly happened to us in Star Trek: First Contact. World War Three, nuclear war, over 600 million dead. We messed with nukes once before; let's not do it again.

<<Masood was driven out of Kabul in 1996 by the Taliban, whose radical Islamic policies exclude women from most areas of public life. The Taliban recently drew worldwide condemnation over its destruction of giant Buddha statues hewn into cliffs.

Masood told French and EU officials he would let women vote in free elections if restored to power. He also said he would respect human rights and would crack down on Afghanistan's highly lucrative drugs trade.

In Brussels, Masood also discussed financial aid for his country with a senior EU Commission official. The Commission, the EU's executive arm, is preparing fresh aid worth 13 million euros ($11.71 million) for the war and drought-ravaged country. >>

Does the U.S. have any satellites that can track the movement of nuclear devices? I heard that we did, but I'm not sure if it is true or not.

Sorry for posting this elsewhere as a respost!

That pisses me off. The crap he says about the US having no reason to look for osama and acusers trying to serve their own agendas etc. The taliban obviously have no intention of handing bin over. I knew their government sucked nuts anyway. They took out indian monuments last year and that made me sick to my stomach and now further antagonizing.

Its very good pakistan is aiding the US and I think if their resolve wavers at all the US should say "Help us here and we won't forget this.". Anyway Pakistan's relations with the Taliban won't matter after this.

Man, I never thought I'd hear that on TV! Franklin Graham, Billy Graham's son, called for the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction on CNN!

Poor CNN!

People PLEASE understand that nukes are a BAD thing to do. Never use nukes. This world will be better off if Japan remains the only target of nuclear attack. Never ever ever use nuclear attacks. There is no such thing as a "tactical nuke", cause its still going to kill a foul amount of civilians.

<<I've read reports that Masood has been killed. Is it true? >>

I read in the LA Times that he was killed by the Taliban (suicide bomber). But in the Afghan info site, it states that he's injured and being treated in Russia.

The arab countries dont have enough nukes to destroy the world. The US, Russia and China do though. If Bin Laden does have nukes and launches them.. The US and Russia would level the middle east within minutes. Russia might try kicking a dog(the US) while its down, but I doubt it seriously.

NORAD tracks all world wide movement.
