<< My daughter are 16 and 13.

I gotta go it is 9am here and we are getting an "early start" i think that means i am screwed.
>>

You haven't got a snowball's chance in hell of making it out of the mall with change left in your pockets !!!! 😀

<< "Has your wife considered hanging out at train stations and stealing one?"

I swear, if I could be 100% sure of having a girl, I'd try for one more kid. My wife has an awesome relationship with her mom. It just doesn't work that way with the boys. I really do feel sorry for her in that regard. But damn, if we had one more baby, and it was another boy, OMG! :Q
>>

I got the two girls...then a few years later got the surprise bonus boy !!! Lol, my daughters and I are close but their brother is refered to as "The Little Prince" around here for good reason 😀

My daughters are 16 and 13.

2 daughters+1 wife+mall=(-$750)+(1 major argument+2 sub arguments)+an overall sense of being overwhelmed

Well the trip is over for me 🙂

They are now watching a movie and I will pick them up around 5pm.

Damage thus far $700.

Apparently I do not understand certain things because the cost of womens clothing is insane. I was about to have a heart attack. I like keeping the peace and to be honest it would have been far worse had I not been there.

  • "The Little Prince" LOL 😀

    "Damage thus far $700" <Gulp> :Q
>>

Ornery, you think I'm kidding ? this kid has an Athlon Tbird system that's nicer than the ones many adults use, he's got a Dreamcast,PS2 and an X-box, gameboy, gameboy color, game boy Advance and a 27 in tv.. and I'm considering a big screen for his graduation gift if he makes honor roll again.

He is indeed the "Prince" 😀

Yeah, serious <gulp> if they're only 3/8 of the way through!! That comes to nearly $1900 total if they keep up that pace till 5!

edit: looks like you're an hour off from me... so only $1400-1500 then 😀

hm..for a full blown mall trip, probably about $400-600
but it'll feel like they're spending more especially when ur bored out of ur mind for like 6 hours or something!

my sisters spend a good ammount everytime they go
600+
They are 14 and 16 years old....
plus mom gives them like 300 every 3 months to buy clothes...

dang you people need to chill. i spend less then 100$ every few months on clothes. a new t-shirt here and there, new set of pants.

No nothing for me on the trip, I tend to buy online and my purchases consist of the normal computer stuff. I never buy clothes isn't that what you get every X-mas and birthday. A bunch of stuff that your wife and children claim will make you more "hip".

You get clothes for presents because you never buy them yourself. Sorry to hear that you had to drop that much cash on a stupid mall trip. When i have kids i'm going to raise them as un-materialistic as I can.

congratulation.
if you can afford $700 during one shopping trip, you must be hella rich.
otherwise, you must have a strong heart and be willing to work like a dog for the rest of your life. 🙂

holy crap :Q

tell your oldest daugher to get a job. I started work a few months before I turned 16 and my parent hardly pay for ANYTHING! 🙁

Pics? 😀
That sucks...I don't think i've ever spent over 200 bucks at one time (not counting business purchases). I can imagine what you go thru. Do you even get to approve what they're wasting their money on?

Hmmm. As to being rich well I would image that I make higher than the national average. My home is the largest expense I have if you do not include the family😀

My wife is a nurse and I work for a good company so yeah I guess we do ok.

Ahhhhhhh, I love the fact that I have three boys!!!!!

I'd much rather be nickeled and dimed with a "can I have $20 tonight to go out with my friends" than the "But the outfit is so on sale for only $80!"

I must be a lucky guy. My wife and daughter love shopping at the thrift stores and places like Pic-n-Save or the 99 cent store. Their idea of a successful shopping trip is to get as much of the best stuff as they can for the least amoung of money.

And no, neither my wife nor I are cheap or without the financial resources.

They only time they shop at the big name stores is when there's a huge sale, like 50% or better off.

YES, YES, YES, YES....................................
