Ok picked everyone up and we are all safe at home :)

FINAL TOTAL: $929.35

Not that bad could have been much much worse. They all seem happy and I am being told that I will not have to go through this until summer. I really hope so. I love my family and to be honest the smiles and general happiness they seem to be feeling makes it worth-wild.

The absolute worse trip every year is the "LETS GO SCHOOL SHOPPING" Trip. That will set me back more than you could believe.

Also not to be a complete old timer but does anyone remember when Levis were a good deal. I remember buying them for around $15 a pair. Nikes were $20 ALL LEATHER. Now as I look through the bills Levis are $55 a pair and Nikes are $90. I have also completely lost touch with the music industry. The crap I listen to around this house makes me glad my girls grab everything for free off the net.

END OLD MAN RANT!

2 daughters+1 wife+mall=(-$750)+(1 major argument+2 sub arguments)+an overall sense of being overwhelmed

I agree. Check this out. My two daughters are 4 and 7mo so no hassle there yet, but my wife has an identical twin, jesus is that painful.... I can just imagine how it'll be in 12 years.... {{{help}}}

You are a youngster. I can remember buying Levi's for less than $5.00/pair. \

I guess that makes me an older fart than you are.

Damn, I usually don't spend more than $100 everytime I go the mall. And most the time it's for a few games or a new pair of shoes.. Most I've spent was like $250 which consisted on a new pair of shoes ($70), 2 games ($100 combined) and some clothes for the summer.

They may be "all set" for now and "we don't need anything else" - until next week! God help me if I ever have two daughters. Sons need money for stuff to but no three guys are gonna blow through $900 in clothes in a day unless they're shopping for clothes for the next 5 years (or they're fruity).

The only way I have found to keep a shopping trip in check is to not take things back to the car during the trip. Anything you buy, you carry around with you. Limits all shopping to about 3 hours... especially with how women ummm... (sexist comment) generally can't carry packages around for long periods of time without tiring.

Well we don't buy our clothes @ kmart/target/costco do we?

D@mn anchor blue and their $40 pants, D@mn gap for their $60 jackets, and D@mn nautica and their $25 shirts

Oh and d@mn fossil for their $65 watches

$700......that is pretty excessive, even for me, coming from a decently affluent family, and I myself enjoy shopping and buying stuff. $700 over 3 people = $233 a person.....hmmm, on second thought, that's not TOO bad. I mean, a purchase of a pair of shoes or a coat or something would account for a good deal of that stuff.

Now, if they do this every week, then that's a whole different story. :)

OMG! Thats a LOT of money! The most I've ever spent at one time was 350 for the startup of my rc car.

Clothes? I've spent at most like 100. Thats with the like Banana Republic super sale and stuff like that. J. Crew 30% off at outlet stores.

I think girls spend a lot on clothes and stuff, but guys spend a lot on other stuff too. I mean, my rc car for example, my computer, and coutless other toys. I think when my sister reaches my age, I'd spend about as much as they do.

*Computer = 1500 and counting*

My last 2 purchases of clothes for myself:

Last month: 1 pair of kahki pants for $8 on clearance

4 months ago: 4 shirts for 5 dollars.

Those are my spending habits when it comes to clothes. I prefer getting neat stuff, such as a new tv, new receiver, and new dvd player, all bought within 3 months :)

<< "Has your wife considered hanging out at train stations and stealing one?"

I swear, if I could be 100% sure of having a girl, I'd try for one more kid. My wife has an awesome relationship with her mom. It just doesn't work that way with the boys. I really do feel sorry for her in that regard. But damn, if we had one more baby, and it was another boy, OMG! :Q
>>

LOL, we have 2 girls & would probably have another... maybe we could work out a trade ;)
