It probably does a good job. No fur to insulate it. You can hold it and all of its precious warmth will be yours!

His skin temp is a couple degrees warmer than a human's, he's a heat magnet (all cats are in the wintertime) but he crawls under the bedcovers when we're not home & in the mornings, one daughter gets up about 1/2 hour before the other, he gets up with the early riser, makes sure no-one's in the bathroom (people in bathrooms fascinate him) and then crawls under the covers with the daughter that sleeps late.

He's like sleeping with a hot water bottle😀
