The guys on the ground that get shot at would disagree.

That sounds nice and all, but my buddy just went back and said that they are still getting mortared.

Which changed almost nothing.

Shouldn't you be asking the people on the receiving end of those drone strikes if it's war? Where's the signs, and post of the dead civilians and children? The left are the most extreme partisan hypocrites in history.

BAM!

Here's a link to a far more informative article on this issue than this thread is:

http://www.npr.org/2011/05/20/136507004/despite-war-powers-deadline-congress-fails-to-act

The War Powers Act has had a pretty checkered history since it was passed in 1973. I don't think there has been a single President since then (from either party) that feels the law is constitutional but it hasn't been tested in court yet.

Let me play devil's advocate for a minute: if our relatively minor current involvement in Libya is legally a war, should we also be compelled to formally declare war on Pakistan, our nominal ally and recipient of billions of US foreign aid (and thus another crime, aid to enemy)? We have been attacking with drones, planes, helicopters and the occasional small troop invasion for years there.

Our current "relatively minor current involvement in Libya" is not legally a war as Congress has not passed a declaration of war nor is a declaration of war required for military force to be used. Congress can still authorize the use of force without actually declaring war.

OTOH, I have seen nothing that implies that the President can, based on his sole judgement, attack a sovereign nation that has not attacked or threatened the United States or her allies in some form or fashion.

The outcry - Man! Where was the outcry about this worthless pursuit of Iraq - where were those bags of tea then?

A revisionist idiot like yourself probably doesn't realize that the Tea Party movement started as a backlash against the Bush administrations spending and hence before Obama was even elected.

Yes I must be a "conservative" because I happen to disagree with you.

By the quantity of stupidity you show.

You are a moron as I have said numerous tomes I identify with no polticial ideology or political parties.

Identity is irrelevant. Conservatism isn't a set of beliefs, it describes a mental relationship to those beliefs.
You could be a vegan pro-choice atheist evolutionist environmentalist communist and still be a conservative.

You just to weak

No, I just from'ed weak.

I'm going to post a random pony because... I have no words.

lol Dominion, how am I a "conservative" do you mean the like... general definition of the word?

reference.com said:
con·serv·a·tive
[kuhn-sur-vuh-tiv] Show IPA
–adjective
1.
disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change.
2.
cautiously moderate or purposefully low: a conservative estimate.
3.
traditional in style or manner; avoiding novelty or showiness: conservative suit.

Where do I fit that definition? I'm not cautiously moderate, hell I'm not even that cautious in most any thing. I am definitely not traditional in style or manner, nor am I for preserving existing conditions. I actually like change, I like new things, I'm far more "progressive" than "conservative", but whatever. I don't fit what you define, so you just throw me into a category because you're a mental midget. Congrats on continuing your idiocy.

This is a big problem with so-called conservatives. Their ideology is a mash of Ayn rand nonesense angry white dude soap opera political dramas on radio/fox with a smattering of economic nonsense from big industry shills to wrap up the whole mess of what it has come to.

Damn shame as a small part of Americans have become so mindfucked by corporate media they don't have apiece of sense left in their brain of their own to come up with anymore -just entertainment crap.

You have become bigger douchebags as fictional characters on southpark you should really pat yourselves on the back for coming full circle to what you despise but are too elitist to see the world laugh at you. Sweet irony.

Damn, hit the nail right on the head!

I don't think we're attacking Pakistan per se. We're attacking enemy who happens to have fled into Pakistan.

In Libya, Obama is attacking actual Libyian forces and has stated a goal of forcing Qaddafi from office/power.

Considerably different IMO.

VERY different. We attacked someone in Pakistan who has no affiliation with the Pakistani government and is actually an 'enemy' to the Pakistani government, whereas we're trying to route out the leader of a nation and destroy his government. How anyone could try and draw parallels between the two is beyond me. Libya has far more in common with Iraq than Afghanistan or what we did to OBL.

You mean lack of haircut. One things for certain, there's no beating father time. I just turned 57 yesterday. The sad thing is I thought I was turning 58 so as a present I got a year younger..LOL. I must be getting Old Timers disease:eek:

lol, I'm not surprised your loser wannabe attitude extends to fucking around. Keep trying though.

Hey it was 7 years ago, I was riding through Iowa and when I stopped in this bar there was this plain looking housefrau talking about how her husband wasn't doing it for her so I thought I'd do the gal a favor.

lol, nice try. My boy isn't 7 (or 8). But it's hilarious that you think your comments bother me. I already know you are an asshole so my replies are only to show others how proud you are to be an e-thug asshole.
