You go into a restaurant, and the host/hostess asks you table or booth? Which do you pick?

Table. I don't usually eat at those family restaurants. Too expensive. Small diners and the rare classy restaurant I go to don't have booths.

I don't see any possible advantage for a table over a booth.

Table better for larger parties IMO. If they put tables together in a booth... if someone in the middle needs to take a piss, everyone has to get out on one side so he/she can slide out.

Yeah, table for this reason alone. If it's just me and the woman, I don't mind if I get booth or table, but I do like tables>booths

I generally prefer a booth, but it depends on the layout of the restaurant and who I can see sitting down in the area they plan to seat me in. I'll take a table if I think the overall dining experience will be better there.

There was a poll on introvert/extrovert before. Since a large majority of ATOTers are introverts, I expected the majority to be booth people as well.

Table. While I can sit in a booth, and will if there's no booth available, I'm more comfortable sitting in a chair than in the booth seats. My FUBAR'd back just doesn't like the often crappy seating built into booths.

Booth. And I hate it when the hostess tries to sit us at a table when there are booths open. FTS.

The hostess usually goes by a rotation to give all wait staff an even(ish) tip distribution. You probably just are at the part of the rotation that didn't have booths open, and you can ask to go to a booth if you wanted.
