Syria False Flag Poll

Edit: The word Perpetrated includes arming the ones who actually used the weapons, and/or funding the ones who used the weapons, ie aiding and abetting.

No, but we've a bunch of warmongers ready to pounce onto something that's none of our business.

I can't help but be embarrassed by the fact that our leaders seem to think they are in some moral position to dictate to others. They say that this behavior must be punished. Who the hell are we to hand out the punishment? And where are we every time there is genocide in a non strategic part of the world? Anyone can see through this BS and at this point its just embarrassing.
Also, the US wages chemical warfare against its own people on a much larger scale in the name of pharmaceuticals for profit at all costs. Shit drugs that cause more harm than good or simply don't work.

I think we need to absolutely go through the UN Security Council if we're to do anything. No more of this bullshit like in Iraq.

It's tragic that innocent people are dying in Syria. I feel like if this exact same thing were happening in Africa we wouldn't even hear about it.

The freedom loving Syrian rebels include Al Qaeda members and hundreds of mercenaries from Europe. What could possibly go wrong by giving them chemical weapons?

No. While I've lost confidence in Obama's ability I don't he's stupid enough to both unwisely make the "red line" comment and then compound it by faking a poison gas attack to ensure that he's in an unwinnable position with no good options.

The fact that this many people think the US government secretly gassed thousands of Syrians so it could engage in a limited bombing campaign in a civil war between jihadists and an evil dictator is pretty scary.

How nuts are you guys?

So logic dictates that, If and when the US gets hit by say a dirty bomb or terrorist attack involving chemical weapons, then it should be automatically assumed that government forces perpetuated the attack and therefor all the other nations on Earth should attack the US?

It's ridiculous to think we had anything to do with a chemical attack.

What is entirely feasible is that we'll take advantage of the attack, blame the wrong party, and respond aggressively as an excuse to continue feeding the military industrial complex.

Had the US wanted to use gas attacks as a reason to attack they had opportunities to do so before now. I think Obama was trying to avoid intervention that he doesn't think he can win.

I think he was right, but now has changed his mind for political reasons and this bombing will be a mistake. Hard to see a good outcome out of this.

Oh no I don't think the US actually helped to carry out this chemical attack...but I do doubt if it really did happen, and if so who the responsible party truly is. The UN investigation team just got there and hasn't had a chance to do much let alone publish a full report so I don't see how they're claiming to know this all a fact.

It doesn't really make sense to me why Assad would actually use chemical weapons knowing the likelihood that doing so would cause a large response from the US and other countries...

That's the standard we've fallen to for critical thinking skills? How about you at least attempt to pull some evidence out of your ass.

You find yourself on a planet surrounded by fucking primates and you pretend to be surprised by the way we think?

A dictator under pressure does not always think/act logically.

Specially when there are powerful sponsors behind him.

What is logical to the Western mind does not always translate to the mindset of other cultures

It was hard to justify it the last time since the UN decided it was the rebels who did the attack. In this one I have to ask wtf are they doing? They come out and claim the regime did it then go looking for evidence to back up their claims.

This proposed bombing is utterly pointless. And even the admin is saying that. Their goal isn't regime change. So they just want to lob a few missiles and call it a day?
