ORLANDO, Fla. --
Experts are warning parents about the latest synthetic drug labeled as "bath salts" that has rapidly spread across the Orlando area and has already sent dozens of young people to Florida hospitals.

Don't let the label fool you. The makers call it "bath salts" or "plant feeder" and are sold under a variety of brand names, but experts say it's really fake cocaine. The labels also usually say it's "not for human consumption" but in a drug alert sent in December, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency said teens are snorting it to get high. The DEA said it gives users euphoria and extreme energy, but they'll also appear agitated, suffer from hallucinations, or worse.

you know... if you just legalized coke, and marijuana...

I am pretty sure the tax profits from 2 of the most widely used drugs around would make the gov't pretty happy...

not to mention it would squash the whole "fake, unknown, untested" shit

How did you sell an '86 Isuzu? What demographic was checking it out?

? The same way we bought it, on craigslist? lol

We wanted a 4x4 SUV type vehicle. The older Troopers are tanks. It ran and drove fine, but did need some work, as any 24 year old 4x4 vehicle with 194,000 miles would. We had grand plans to fix it up and use it as a camp mobile, but that never materialized so we decided to get rid of it.

A white guy in his early 20s bought it. He wanted something he could carry his dogs more easily in. Ironically, he was from Portland, OR like I am. :awe:

What exactly were you trying to get at? lol

It amazes me that there are people that dont know enough about what they are taking just to get high.

"Hey! If you mix this drain cleaner with borax and cough syrup in coke it will fck you up good homie!"

"Cool! Do you have any"

or

"Hey! If you snort this unknown chemical compound labled as bath salts and not for human consumption it will fck you up good homie!"

I really do feel sorry for these people. They dont care about the frailty of their minds or bodies and are willing to risk being poisened to death, suffer severe irreversable brain damage or some other ailment for a buzz.

Amazing.

My health has been pretty bad for the past several years and only now after spending about $200,000 on treatments and sugeries are things looking up for me again. In not 100%, but considering I was far worse, Ill take what i can get. People dont appreciate their healthy, problem free bodies God gave them until things start giving out or going bad.

Why was it ironic that he was from the same place as you?

I would overall agree with you, but probably not for the same reasons. :p

I wouldn't ever do a drug unless I knew exactly what I was doing.

And no, of course they don't. Just like people don't appreciate their environment until it's a barren, lifeless dump.

Such is the human condition. As a species, we're shockingly short sighted for how intelligent we are.

Insight.

Really.

I had a 93 Nissan pick up with over 200,000 miles that I have serious doubts for letting go. It was a rock, too.

Edit: Sometimes I have to use brevity and vagueness in my questions and I've become accustom to it.

It was a pun on his question. I don't really know what he was getting at, so it was the only connection I could make; We Portlanders must like Isuzu's? lol.

Anyone know more specifically what bath salts these are? Like a name that'd turn up something meaningful on google? :)
Sounds like a variation of phenylethylamine, like amphetamines and MDMA, and hundreds of other synthetic stimulants.

Not at all... If you look through our evolution, until the past idk, 50-100 years of the few thousand we have been around, our life expectancy was extremely short.

because of this, we have issues seeing the long term damage we will do.
