Synthetic Cocaine Sold As 'Bath Salts'

It amazes me that there are people that dont know enough about what they are taking just to get high.

"Hey! If you mix this drain cleaner with borax and cough syrup in coke it will fck you up good homie!"

"Cool! Do you have any" 🙄

or

"Hey! If you snort this unknown chemical compound labled as bath salts and not for human consumption it will fck you up good homie!"

I really do feel sorry for these people. They dont care about the frailty of their minds or bodies and are willing to risk being poisened to death, suffer severe irreversable brain damage or some other ailment for a buzz.

Amazing.

My health has been pretty bad for the past several years and only now after spending about $200,000 on treatments and sugeries are things looking up for me again. In not 100%, but considering I was far worse, Ill take what i can get. People dont appreciate their healthy, problem free bodies God gave them until things start giving out or going bad.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I just wanna point out that no one does drain cleaners unlike what they tell you in school. Drain cleaners, aka Sodium Hydroxide is a strong solvent that is used to extract drug chemicals out of plants. They are evaporated, decanted, or filtered from the solution to allow for purification of the drug.
The real worry about buying pills from these underground labs is that these pills are rarely what they say it is and often contain many other drugs mixed in for either effect enhancement or to cheapen the manufacture.

Any person who attempts to inhale anything but Doctor prescribed nasal medication through their nose needs to be removed from the gene pool. What would possess you to pick up a tin of powder, regardless of the label, and snort it? Dumb fvcks.

you know... if you just legalized coke, and marijuana...

I am pretty sure the tax profits from 2 of the most widely used drugs around would make the gov't pretty happy...

not to mention it would squash the whole "fake, unknown, untested" shit

pay large quantities of real money for the real taxed the shit out of things, or try cheap ass fringe stuff like this, yeah I know which they would chose.

Yeah, because no one should enjoy life at all.

Never try to expand your collection of experiences!

Drugs are bad! Do as the government tells you!

Not at all... If you look through our evolution, until the past idk, 50-100 years of the few thousand we have been around, our life expectancy was extremely short.

because of this, we have issues seeing the long term damage we will do.

Average life span was short. Life expectancy was more or less what it is today.

It's not like people that were 60-70+ years old didn't exist thousands of years ago.

It's an interesting thought, but I don't think that is the reason for our short sightedness. I think it's more of our survival instinct. There are plenty of people that are future-thinkers, but unfortunately.. the majority are not, and the majority usually win. Example: A forest. Most people would see money, in the form of timber. The forest is cut down, because human(s) want to survive. Of course, some people object to this thoughtless destruction. They are labeled environmentalists, but they are the future thinkers that bring awareness to problems.

It's all a progression.. but a slow and painful one, with many hard lessons.

OK I did some more googling and it looks like people are getting high off mephedrone
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mephedrone

It's probably no more dangerous that amphetamines and MDMA since it's a phenylethylamine and works on the same neural mechanisms, which can be extremely harmful if taken regularly, especially in high doses, but at the same time safe in low moderate doses taken once in a while.

That doesn't make any sense.

What?

The statement, "Ironically, he was from Portland, OR like I am. :awe:" was a sarcastic comment, playing off the fact that I didn't know what he was implying by asking what demographic would buy such a thing. It was the only connection I could see.

I don't think it's very hard to understand. lol.. Would it make you feel better if I edited it to, "Though, he was from Portland, OR like I am. :awe:"? 😛

*Headasplodes*

How does the statement "Ironically, he was from Portland, OR like I am." play off the fact that you didn't know what he meant by 'what demographic'?

What is sarcastic about that?

WTF.

This is like a "If it wasn't for my horse, i wouldn't have spent that year in college." moment.

Rocksteady,

Please provide an example of ironic in text.

I went to a nightclub to hopefully meet a chick. Ironically the club turn out to be having a gay night.

That's the best I can do on the spot.

I know what it means if that's what you're getting at dick. It's when the outcome is the opposite of what was expected.

Because it was the only connection I could see. He was wondering what type of person would buy a 1986 Isuzu. I essentially replied with, "Apparently, people from Portland!". Get it? Got it? Good.

This is probably officially one of the most bizarre exchanges I've had on the forums.. LOL.

Also, I completely don't understand what "If it wasn't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college." even means? I've never heard that phrase.. lol

lulz 'cause of good sportage. I mean, you're a good sport.

It still doesn't make any sense.

Q - What kind of people want a 1986 Isuzu?

A - People Portland I guess.

That would be ok. Where the hell does ironic fit in there?!

The horse line is from Lewis Black. From UrbanDictionary.

"If it wasn't for my horse, i wouldn't have spent that year in college."

"In a bit by Lewis black he overheard one girl say this to another. He went on to say that this is the type of nonsensical utterance that if you think about it too long you will develop an aneurysm and your head will explode."

Or the real forward thinkers that plant little trees and keep harvesting the forest over and over again.

Can you back me up on the whole Eli conversation?

Does his statement make any sense?

If y'all tell me that it makes sense and I'm just not getting it then I'll shut up.

No. You guys are getting in an e-argument in a thread about Drano or something. Sure, it's entertaining - but you're audience 'gets it'. Do not shut up.

I admitted that "ironic" probably wasn't the correct word to use.

Anyone know more specifically what bath salts these are? Like a name that'd turn up something meaningful on google? 🙂
Sounds like a variation of phenylethylamine, like amphetamines and MDMA, and hundreds of other synthetic stimulants.

You can buy that stuff around here at some of the convenience stores.

Ivory Wave Bath Salts sounds like a good idea for an aromatic and soothing bath.
But to those in the know, it is one of the newest drugs on the market - and it's legal.
