I have a 19" CTX 960 PRF that I think is superior to the KDS AV195-TF, reasons, it's got BNC outputs, the KDS doesn't, it has a built in USB hub, nada for the KDS and it's generally available cheaper than the KDS monitor. As for display quality - about the same or better, the only KDS AV195-TF I've seen was on a friends system equipped with an older 8MB ATI AIW card. The CTX monitors drivers load a CTX color profile into the display properties which really brightens colors.
Ya know RKM, the damper wires are allot less visible in the newer FD tubes, I really have to look hard to find them unlike older Sony tubes where the lines were very annoying. This FD CTX is better in every way(display wise) to the 900IFT I replaced it with. While some people don't give a hoot what a monitors external appearance looks like, the Samsung is butt ugly in my opinion - way to much plastic case around the screen, but that's my opinion.
