From reading the books my opinion is that they get better than the one this season was built on. Still really enjoying it though

Hmmm, perhaps I should re-read/re-watch. Could be my memory is failing me. It will also be interesting to see if anyone in the cast goes on to equally good roles in other genres. Now that production has come to a Covid-19 halt, actors are waiting to get back to work, and we are equally ready to see it. A steady diet of reruns only gets stale quickly.

While I won't say I don't take allegations like this seriously, I will say that I just don't care all that much what an actor does or thinks in his/her personal life.

Further being able to act and/or play a guitar well does not qualify you as my my role-model or hero .... so I don't have unrealistic expectations.

Finally after the damage done to Kevin Spacey in particular based on what turned out to be nonsense (put politely) I think it might be a good idea to find out what actually happened before jumping to judgement not just "believe" by default.


EDIT: Of course House of Cards being cancelled turned out not to matter since we've ended up with the "IRL" version!

There's something of an explosion of this kind of thing I feel like. I came across a 25m lawsuit against twitch from a guy who says that some of the women on the platform are too, womeny<lol?>.. that's my take and my word on it. Y'all can look up the suit, if you want. It honestly comes off as a revenge version of what some men may percieve as women doing to men. I don't know.

Also, there's a series of accusations against Swifty (youtube figure for world of warcraft) whereby Blizzard has removed an in-game NPC of Swifty before he's even had a chance to defend himself. Some are calling it out as Twitter being judge, jury, executioner. Some are asking what happened to "innocent until proven guilty". Many are coming to his defense.

I don't know what happened here with Anvar, exactly. I've glanced some of the twitter posts linked from the reddit post despite not being a fan of twitter.

I just hope everything is handled as fairly as possible. Fairly for the women and what they say has happened, fairly in the context of having a chance to defend himself, and fairly for the fans who love the show.

It looks bad, though. Anyone glanced through all the material on that reddit post?

I tried to watch this a couple of times when it first came out. Just couldn't get past some of the quirks...Miller and his stupid fucking hat, belter pidgin, Shohreh Aghdashloo's poor acting...she always sounds like...she's...reading...her...lines...badly....little things. Never could even get through episode 2...but I decided to ignore that and just watch it recently on Prime.
Yes, those things are still irritants...but minor ones. Overall, it's not bad...I'm just about to finish season 3. There are still a few...plot holes that haven't really been explained, but that's not uncommon with novels being made into TV shows, especially ones that deal with such.......complex issues.
I'd give it 4.3/5.
