Not sure how many ATOT members are into swords, or collect them, but I find it an interesting hobby. Haven't got a lot yet, but I'm just starting and I think it's kind of a neat and somewhat addicting hobby. Right now the only swords I have is our family royal crest sword for the Deurk clan, and this sword: <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.weaponmasters.com/index.html?ID=29b

What is your favorite sword design? Do you own any swords? Post pics if you have one. Short swords and daggers included. :)

Ever think about getting those real forged ones from Spain that'll actually cut someone's head off? I want one of those. :)

I want to collect them as a hobby, not go around lopping peoples heads off. Sheesh.

the only sword i want to buy at the moment is striders bowie knife from the later part of felowship of the rings. that thing was sweet.

Blades are cool and all, but usually those cheap-o swords aren't properly balanced, nor is it made from the proper grade steel.

I'd like to get one, but tankfully there's not really a reason for me to get one. I'm a firm proponent that you should only own weapons if you use them. Weapons are weapons, not decorations, IMO.

(EDIT: Didn't mean to sound so damn serious! No, I'm not currently holed away in some militia camp cutting notches into my bullets! :D:D:D)

There's techniques you won't/simply cannot figure out from just getting a sword.
If that was possible, well, it kinda spits on the face of Kendo/Iaido/Kenjutsu/Fencing/Escrima Practitioners, won't it? :p:p:p
