Swine Flu now hurting sensitivities as well.

Well, the manchickenpig virus did supposedly come from pigs (swine) so I don't know how it could be offensive. It's not as if the virus is the pig itself, though, and the Israelis aren't eating the virus or pigs, anyway.

Typical Faux news. Worthless article.

Douchebag you are.

Why because someone gets their panties in a ruffle over the name of a virus? Come on, who cares if it's called swine flu or 'Mexican' flu. In fact, I find 'Mexican' flu more offensive then swine flu.

:disgust:

I don't care what the fuck they call the virus. I was just laughing at your weak attempt to bash Fox News, as if any fucking major news outlet is better.

I didn't see your response to the article until this post, so my guess is that TallBill's reaction is to this:

Originally posted by: Crusty

which makes sense considering Queasy's revelation that the article was written by AP, not Fox.

And did you see my response to his post? /sigh

Idiots always complaining about one thing or another. I remember when VIA (chipset company) made a processor that was name KZ or something. Jews complained about that and VIA changed the name to something else. I for one didn't even know why the fuck that was so offensive. What the fuck is their problem?

Anything against Jews would definitely be anti-semitic. Basically, they could get away with murder and of course it'd be deemed anti-semitic if you'd say something against it.

I think Crusty's point is that, no matter the source, the article is worthless because of what it is about. Who the fuck cares if someone is crying about the common name of a virus!?!? IT'S NOT NEWS!

"erroneus abbreviation of the German word Konzentrationslager (which is a literal translation of the English term concentration camp), KL is the proper term."

Wow, didn't know that. That's really being over sensitive, as in know way can that 2 letter combination be reasonably interpretated (on a processor, no less) as being about a concentration camp. We can't ban every potentially offensive 2 letter combination just because a particular group may find it offensive. Now, if ithe processor was code named Heilhitler, I could see the uproar as being justified.

-"You Nazi anti-semitic POS!! go DIAF :|"

i would agree if he had just said "worthless article' but no he had to go and say "Typical Faux news. Worthless article". so he wants to blame fox news on this and stuck his foot in his mouth.

i think its rather funny. but yes its a worthless article

Guys, you are missing the point. This is a perfect joke thread opportunity.

Sure, the Jews and the Muslims may be offended by the Swine flu but what about the Mexicans? Won't they be offended by the Mexican Flu? Maybe we should call it the Undocumented Flu!

yuk yuk yuk

He may have a point about that, but saying "worthless article" didn't make it clear that he thought the subject was worthless, not the writing itself. Linking the worthlessness of the article to "Faux News" confused it even more.
