LOL,I was just clowning.You wouldn't be able to use screws with the MCX4000 92mm brackets anyways.I am not to crazy about those plastic inserts that come with the MCX4000 for the 92mm fans.They seem to work good,but after repeated taking on and off the fan one could snap.

Thugs pointed me toward this topic, so I thought that I'd say what I did.

I ended up getting the Panasonic Panaflo FBA09A12H in the -1BX suffix, which is with the Tach on the third wire. (Thugs tried the L-1A version, which is a lower speed without the tach wire.) This one is 57CFM, and draws only .01A more than my stock Intel fan. It turned out to be the same fan basically that jhites is running. I'm running it at full speed now, and there isn't that much of a noise difference than when I use the QFan feature of the Asus motherboard. But that did reduce the noise even more from the RPM drop--at the expense of higher idle temp.

I ordered the fan from an electronics store @ www.digikey.com if anyone is interested, part # P11042-ND. Their shipping is cheap, but there is a handling fee if your order is under $25. The fan goes for $8.75, but goes down in price for 5+. This comes with a 3-wire lead, but since this is an electronics parts store, it does not come with a connector for your motherboard on the other end. You'd have to go to newegg.com if you didn't want to cut/splice from another fan. Most of you reading this topic probably have something else figured out or the correct adapter plug anyway.

I put the arctic silver back on and will let my new heatsink run hotter for awhile to get it settling in.
