Yea, DBZ is a great series, you should watch one of the Japanese episodes with your kids. I know it may sound silly but the story is so rich, the plot & character development is amazing, it's just crazy how in touch you can get with the story, etc...

Don't get me wrong, I like DBZ, but in college we downloaded all the subtitled Japanese eps and watched them. We did the Freeza saga in one sitting. It was like they could not get to the damn point! There was one point where a planet was supposed to blow up in 15 minutes. It took more like 15 episodes. Man it sucked.

We figured that if you only watched the pre-show summaries that you wouldn't actually miss anything and you could get through the entire series in a matter of hours.

True, it does drag a little bit, but still you can't help but watch and find out what's going to happen. The characters are just like-like, I dunno it's hard to describe. Cell & Buu saga were much better than Freeza saga.
