Just a week prior to this I got a Studio RTA metal & glass L desk.

Actually I got two of these, $99 ea on sale @ OM, and deviated from the assembly instructions to make my own creation. :)

So for $200 I got a huge U shaped desk, plus another leftover rectangular piece I have holding my old DEClaser and some stereo components. I have ample room for two computers, and plenty of space leftover for actually using as a desk.

I do still have some doubts about the strength of the glass, and am afraid of scratching it. but I also scored two 8ft countertops for free from a job I was on, which I will (eventually) make a tech workbench with, and I won't have to worry about ruining my glass desk. For now my bench is a good old folding table.

Fierro is $149 each at OM now, was $99 at office max when I got it with free file carts at the time too (still boxed up, maybe I'll make something else out of them)

Best Buy appears to have the same desk for $129 each but it is called the Portofina

Looks like this desk went under the name Avante LS too, because the inside of my boxes had this label. I think they were repackaged at one point with the boxes turned inside out.

I did quite a bit of shopping around and could not find better desktop space per buck. I much prefer the look of metal and glass versus the cheap particleboard look.
