Gonna be $100 this week. Little pricey but that is da bomb for desks like that. Love the finish and the 2 little speaker shelves.

I'm planning on put it flat against a wall. I have 2 doors that swing open anyways so it might benefit with the design. I don't think corner units have to go in corners although it helps.

It's fine as long as you don't need any work space and your computer sits in a corner.

Nothing beats a regular desk. The bigger the better. :)

Agreed, also try to use a flat LCD monitor, I have a 17 CRT and there is no room for much else...

I cut off horizontally the lower back piece where the monitor would hit and sawed it in half vertically.
Put the 2 pieces on the sides and now my 17" crt slides all the way back.
I used preformed L-brackets on the top and drilled through the bottom of the desk top up into the 2 side pieces and inserted screws.

i got the a-tower for $79 awhile back at officemax. those RTA tables are good. uses screws instead of the usual dowels/glue/nails that ive seen before on cheapo desks so i can take it apart if need be. :)

I have this desk. It's a bit unstable, especially on thick carpeting. If you put a printer on the top shelf the whole desk moves back and forth when you print :) I really like it though. You can solve the stability problem buy using casters underneath the legs.

My favourite desk is a folding table. Good amount of space, sturdy, cheap, easy to transport, can't scratch the damn thing.

nice find. been looking at these for a few months but they're always $150+. I might grab two of these and stick them side-by-side against a wall instead of in a corner.

I have this desk also, but its very wobbly. I currently have a 19" and a 15" monitor sitting side by side on it, with two infinity ht speakers. Dont expect to put too much weight on the top shelves. The bottom shelf is also a bit small and can obstruct your feet. I still like the desk since it does'nt take up much space.

"Pearwood finish paper on wood products with pewter-tone metal frame"

wood products = particle board = crap

Save your $$$ and hit a thrift store or rummage/estate sales to find a desk made of real wood, it will look better and last longer.

I've bought enough dressers, desks, tables and entertainment centers made of particle board to know that anything made of particle board is absolute garbage. And the prices most places charge for this crap is laughable.

if you took woodshop in junior high or highschool, it;s really easy to build a good desk. Home Depot (about 50$ worth of wood) + 4 hours time + Staining and dry time = beautiful desk that you built yourself and fits your needs.

I bought this desk for about $110 at fry's last year....actually, my roomates and I bought 4 and put it in the middle of our dining room facing each other, so now we have a battle station....

nothing better than making a kill in CS and than throwing a pen at that person!

da bomb, this desk is definitely not.

- first of all, the keyboard tray is not wide enough to fit the keyboard AND mouse.
- it is also not long enough, you end up chasing your keyboard and getting hand cramps.
- top shelf seems to attract dust REALLY fast.
maybe it's because we have these desks at work, so getting them at home would bring memories i don't want to have...
