Since these companies are willing to tell me that their monitors don't support freesync now or ever it seems fine. Go ask them yourself if you don't believe me, they seem to be willing to answer the question. They can't talk about future products but existing ones and what they are capable of they will talk about. Like I say don't believe me, send out 10 emails to 10 different companies asking which existing products support adaptive sync/freesync in the future and you wont get a "we can't talk to you about future products" you'll get a "none of our current hardware can do it, the spec only just got released and it needs new hardware". If they answer it then they either consider it already public knowledge or its so blatantly obvious they don't have an issue answering it.
Not needing new hardware is a lie, there isn't a monitor out there today that supports freesync, period. But you don't even need to take my word for it, should you choose you can verify it yourself.
