Heres what I planing on geting once I get my bonus check... Adire Brahma sub 12", JBL 1200.1 amp and my new apline headunit.... I will be running it at 1 ohm and about 1200 watts.. its going to be a MONSTER. I would stay away from fosgate subs, and stick to that polk.

You'll be very pleased. Take it from someone with a 12" Brahma and 1500 watts.
You'll be very pleased. :)

Amps? Amps are amps, get a JBL and be done with it.

LOL... amps are amps, huh? Couldn't be further from the truth. A good amp will make or break your system. I have 2 polk DB10's in my truck (precurser to the momo line...) and I'm driving them with a soundstream reference 300 amp. Only rated at 300 watts, but its a true 300, unlike the cheap amps you get for $149. This thing is also stable down to around 1/2 ohm, if I remember correctly. Reminds me of the good old Orion HCCA series amps... I have a friend with a similar setup to mine, only he is using a cheap sony rated at 760 watts. He wonders why my system stomps his when I have less than half the power... :)

No, its not further from the truth. Amps ARE amps. I will give you that the budget crap doesnt put out what its rated at, but otherwise, for the most part amps are amps. As long as you dont buy the junk flea market shyte, you'll be good to go.

the avionixx is a very nice amp. the specs are TRUE. and if you look at them they are 400 watts at TWELVE volts. that sony amp, is prolly at 14.4volts. so you figure you will have 500 watts, and ppl say they are very underrated. for the price, those are some of the best amps out there.

JBL amps are good, but their xovers suck ass.

and just buy the 8 ga. wiring kit, it works very well.
