<< Thanks for all the input. I was under the impression that 28dBa would be about twice the noise of the 21dBa L1A fan since the scale is logarithmic. I guess 2x the sound of a L1A is still pretty damn quiet. Off to case-mod.com to get my GC68. >>
Yes it's twice as loud but there are other things in the computer that drowns out the noise, such as hard drives. Currently my Maxtor 7200 rpm is the loudest component in my system.
With the panaflo, my system temp was 33C, cpu temp 47C
with the original, my system temp was 33C, cpu temp 45.5C
Again, It's not the best temp you can get in the world, but it's more than adaqueate and gives you enough room for modest overclocking.
12C difference between the board temp and the CPU is pretty darn good for a $13 heatsink.
BTW, It' just became lot colder in S-Kali so my System temp and cpu temp dropped by a couple.
