You get to choose. How cool. If you were suspended over a pit of something, soon to fall in, what would you choose? These pits are full circular pits about 8 foot in diameter.

Tossup between spiders or wasps. They're both somewhat more mild mannered than snakes and scorpions.
Spiders are more creepy, though. So I chose wasps... Also, I know how to deal with them.

yeah, but i wouldn't put myself in that situation to begin with, so what's it matter? might as well be a pit of 10 inch spikes or molten lava...

I would think wasps, yellowjackets, and hornets would be as likely to attack each other as to attack me, so I would probably have a better chance of escaping this situation unscathed.
