Suspended from riding the bus for farting

Like I've said, and you didn't absorb, maybe they will think twice about being disruptive on the bus again if this punishment is causing them hardship. That is what punishments are supposed to do. duh!

I did... you aren't getting my point. This is a punishment for the PARENTS mainly, not the kids. Kids their age hate school and will not exactly view some time off as a bad thing.

Wow what a sad world we live in. If a bus driver can't handle the distraction of "scychro-farts" then he/she shouldn't be driving a bus load of kids.

Why is mosh the only one with a stick up her ass about this? Face it, people fart whether its on purpose or not, its not like you never farted on the bus. Its not like the kids ripped ass in the drivers face or anything. You want punishment fitting the crime, you go stick a quark up their ass.

lot's of sad ass parents above. 20 years ago if these were your kids you'd be FUCKING embarrassed.

YAY TODAY WE DEFEND THEM!

I fully agree with you and moshquerade.
An accidental fart can be fun and something to laugh about afterwards while also being an embarrassment . But when somebody is deliberately farting. That is not fun and it shows a lack of respect for other people. The people here who attack moshquerade, seem to me to be the same kind of people who expect the government to think for them while at the same time complaining that the government is thinking for them. Those defenders of "liberties" are the usual occupational whiners. Generally writing, these are people who eat way to much and unhealthy anyway. Thus a good explanation why they must defend farting. These people will explode when they do not. 😉

A hour long bus ride to school, that has to suck.

That would mean having to get up a hour earlier then normal just to catch the bus.

My bus ride to school was an hour+ and yea it sucked. Luckily my ride home was shorter only a half hour.

So all the kids had a bit of fun and a laugh on the way to school. Good for them. We'd all be so lucky if that was all we had to worry about in our lives.

Embarrassed that a kid farted with his buddy? Highly doubtful. I'd be embarrassed for the school who kicked them off the bus for passing time on an hour long bus ride.

Getting a suspension for farting is probably the worst reason I have seen yet.

I remember getting kicked out of class for yawning once. People are way too sensitive.

Too many people think social grace/politeness is ass-kissing. I am a please/thank you, yes/no sir type of guy...if I see something out of place / a piece of trash I will pick it up.

While many think that may be a sign of weakness, I am quick to get them on the right track should they mock or belittle me. I usually get to hear about how they are going to sue me or get their people.

See that's the problem...farting in public is probably one of the most profane and rude acts someone can do especially with a trapped audience like a bus or train.

That's just ok to you though, sort of proves the stereotype of the mullet-wearing Mustang and Camaro owners as well.

It's one thing to let a fart slip and apoligize and yes, that is what you do when that happens. It's another when someone is purposely doing it and acting like they couldn't help it.

Politeness is important I totally agree. And generally very lacking in society, but kids are going to be kids. Suspending a kid for farting intentional or not is over the top and over sensitive. Kids think farts are funny. They'll grow out of it.

And while on suspension their parents can hopefully help them grow out of that quicker.

That is very true what you write. Not so long ago i took some empty soda can from the floor of the bus(public transport) while getting of the bus. The bus driver thanked me. But some people who also got out of the bus actually looked at me as if i was doing something wrong. I have also had many times where i would just want to hit people at full strength just because they throw their trash on the street or spit in public. I never understood why some people think it is a "freedom" to pollute their own environment and why people think it is a strength to be anti social towards others. Corrective behavior is a normal social way to prevent mishaps. All social animals do this. Humans too. But for some reason some people decided that corrective measures are wrong.

Because maybe someone pissed or shit in that can, or laced it with cholera or rigged a bomb to it. It's not a matter of doing a nice thing. They're not judging, just disgusted.

Just punch everyone you meet on the street. This will solve so many problems.

Well people either are falling into the 'DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM/NOT MY JOB!?" mentality or maybe it's a BOMB! (fear)

You never did any thing silly or immature as a kid? Why do we need to force kids to grow up so quickly?

lolwut?

yes, and when I did something stupid chances are the people around me would be able to hold me accountable, I'd be punished and there would be no worry about those that corrected me getting sued.

I learned prior to kindergarten that pissing and shitting in class were not permitted and passing gas was something I should do in the restroom or in private only.

These lessons hardly stunted my childhood.
