Suspected Terrorist Arrested on Brooklyn Bridge

Folks, I see a lot of tough talk here, but until you (shiner excluded) have stared down the barrel of a gun, or better yet, been shot like I have, just shut the hell up. All this "My d!ck is bigger then yours" crap is pissing me off.

I worked the streets of one of the toughest neighborhoods in Atlanta, I have been shot with a 9mm, stabbed, assualted, and just generally beat on.

Filezz and Narse77 both can vouch for the fact that I have beern shot, they have seen the bullet wound. It went though my hand and out my wrist.

I have been shot at and stabbed too. Still, it has nothing to do with terrorism or this thread.

Sorry folks ,just got tired of MB and SB going at it. it has been a stressful day and I needed to vent, I guess I just snapped a bit.

Sorry if I left the wrong impression, Ulfwald. I originally was the one that was trying to say that our individual experiences have very little to do with the thread's theme or truth which was why I posted about the Bedouins pointing out that I was much tougher than him but that it had nothing to do with anything. But once shiner brought up his personal experience I felt a need to honor his experience as a human being regardless of it's application. I want to do that now for you. Life demands a lot and seems to give little. I don't know what job you do but I bet you should be respected for it and you should respect yourself for it. We all need to vent and we need a place to do it. It's hard to find such a place, but I'm glad you took this one here, now.

I guess maybe I should tell the rest of my story so you can get a notion of what I call being tough. Yes, I caused a whole tribe of bloodthirsty and vicious Bedouins to run. I ran and they ran after me. It's an old Mulla Nasrudin story told, I suspect, to calm a tendency to take oneself too seriously.

No harm done, I just blew my stack.

I used to work in high risk security, bodyguard and bounty hunting.

Now I am in an IT department in a school that specializes in at risk and violent teens, so I am verbally assaulted every day, sometimes even threatened. Today was just a rough one because of a couple of reasons:

1 It is 9-11 and I now have a son to worry about. I truly wanted to leave work and just come home and hold him.
2 Several fights broke out in the school today, and I almost got in the middle of one.
3 Power went out and I got to work late.
