Too late to save your ass now Moonbeam. How about for once you lay off the condescending act you put forth on these forums and actually contribute something intelligent?

My, aren't we quite the hypocrite.

Quote from shinerburke:

Just how so? I advocated killing terrorists, not forum members with whom I have a disagreement.

Get a grip shiner, I think he meant me as the hypocrite. :D

Geez, you're a tough man to befriend.

Hehe, so you seriously think I'm now trying to back peddle and save my ass. I'm anxious to hear your fantasy explanation for the smiley.

How many times do we hear people talking about going to war from behind their desks and ask them to prove it on the battlefield. You talk a tough act about shooting people stopped on a bridge, a big capital offence huh, without even a trial but you collapse in a snit when somebody suggests the same directly to you. You're not as tough as you thought if you can't even take a wee peek in the mirror.

no sense flaming each other...just forget about it. If shinerburke thinks we should shoot every Arab with the same name as a terrorist then he's entitled to his opinion.

That's fine by me Shiva112, but I gotta tell you, shinerburke sounds Islamic to me. I believe the name burke is related to bark, a small vessel, barca in Latin and beyond to baraka, a mystical force associated with Islamic mystics. I've had my eye on him for some time, what with the Patriot Act and all, and I got my suspicions that any shooting he does on the bridge might really be aimed at those sticks of dynamite in the truck. What I still can't explain to my self adequately is why he'd want to get wet when it rains.

Oh I can look in the mirror Moonie baby....can you? Do I talk tough? Damn right I do and I walk the walk as well. Have you ever stared down the barrel of a gun pointed at your head? I have and it's not a fun thing when some punk ass drug dealer comes at you just because you lived in his neighborhood and reported him to the poilice. The good part of the story is that I walked away, he didn't.

Did I tell you about the time I caused a whole tribe of bloodthirsty Bedouins to run, not that it actually has anything to do with anything?

Keep on living in your fantasy world Moonie.....I'll stay right here in the world of fact. Not that I haven't had the urge to fly to the first star to the right and straight on till morning, it's just I think you can handle Captain Hook by yourself.

Come on shiner, part two of my sig anticipated that 'fantasy' shot years ago. :D I'm "Moonbeam" remember. Right of that first star are wonders you may not have even imagined. :D

You take me as a challenge, but I'm only an invitation.

Now I was somewhat rude. In my rush to indicate to you that I'm not only as tough as you, but apparently even more so, a whole tribe vs. a single dealer, I forgot to ask you to tell your story. How did you kill him? What happened. My fear is that you may actually feel some guilt over that incident and are covering up by pretending that shooting maybe maybe terrorists is OK. Just trying to help.

Then I can tell mine. :D

That's intelligent.

"There's this guy who looks like a terrorist on our list of suspects, time to go blow up his van to save the American people from this scrum. BANG!!! Oh crap, this wasn't the guy and he even had his children in the back seat! Well, let's send a story into the press stating he was carrying a large load of C4 and the children were in the whole scheme with him."

I just thought you should see what your post looks like turned around. This one:

Naturally when I saw you suggesting we shoot A-Holes I began to fear for your life.

All I could think to do was to show you the implications of your words in some manner as to penetrate your usual obtuseness and general insensitivity.

It was then that I hit on a plan to speak to you no your level, hence the nature of the first sentence. Naturally the smile was just my usual self.

LOLOLOL! Good one moon! :D

I didn't kill him. While we were walking around to the back of the house, I'm guessing so he could shoot me out of site, we walked by a pile of bricks stacked from where the fireplace had been repaired. I picked one up and hit him in the head with it, took his gun, tied him up, hit him with a few more bricks, then went inside and called the police. I have to admit that I thought of shooting him on the spot but then decided I would have a hard time explaining why I shot someone who was tied up. He spent some time in the hospital and then went to the lockup. I have no idea what happened after that as this all happened in the town where I went to college and I no longer live there.

It took some guts to reach for a brick on a guy with a gun. I assume you figured it was curtains anyway.

And he got stopped because he's Arab and someone on that list had the same name.
He got stopped because he was speeding and had switched plates.
My British friend spent a night in jail for the same offenses.

Guts and a little bit of luck. The guy wasn't holding the gun on me while we were walking and instead of being behind me he was beside me. I was on the inside as we walked past the wall with the bricks piled beside it so I picked one up as we passed by and hit him in the back of the head with it...... Most criminals aren't the brightest stars in the sky and I simply took advantage of that.

They are not messing around. They installed a HUGE light on the ramp for the Brooklyn Bridge. It's making my living room look like it's day out!

I bet that will be pleasant while you're trying to sleep. I suppose it would be better than the bridge blowing up though, that might keep you up too.

Yes, this is the way. Shooting people you don't like or suspect .. and uh, getting rid of opposing points of view. I seem to remember learning about this attitude in history class .. what was it called again?? .. uh .. oh yeah! Fascism! Oh wait, it's not called that anymore, it's now called "common sense" and "patriotism".
