The immunity challenge was really lame considering how high the stakes get as the game goes on. The tile breaking was okay but it was obviously too hard to judge the distance since most throws were way off.

The spear shooter was totally juvenile. It would have been more competitive with a real bow and real arrows.

Some weeks I'm impressed with the ingenuity of the games producers to come up with fresh ideas. Last night's challenge was weak.

Yeah, they need to start doing the endurance ones.

yes, it made it practically random to win

which i think the producers did on porpoise, to give Laura less chance to win immunity

What Russell needs to do next is to make a bunch of fake Hidden Immunity Idols and stash them all over camp

I was saying the same exact thing last night when Russell was looking for the 3rd hidden idol. At the very least, keep the cloth and string and make a fake one that he can stash somewhere in case he needs to "find" it later in front of the other people.

I didn't like Russell the first week or two, but quickly warmed up to him. I think the difference between him and previous "villains" (like Johnny Fairplay) is that Russell is playing a part and almost acting for the game. It doesn't seem like this is who he really is. Previous "villains" seemed to actually be themselves when they were being lying, devious jerks.

Agreed for the most part... although a few of his comments make him come off like an ass. Still, I love how he's playing the game and is so into this... obviously he doesn't need the money... so he's really just here for the competition. obviously

I'm warming to Russell, but it would be so cool to have Jeff ask him on the reunion show about his oil business.

"Well, I was just joshin' you'all about owning my own oil company... I'm really just a wildcatter runnin' my operation outta my garage.

LOL...that would be pretty fantastic. I wouldn't put it past him either.

I'm thinking Mick of foa foa is going home tonight. Russell is going to let the chickens out and stir up chaos, and shambo is going to lead the charge to get rid of this 'cancer' (as dave called him in the preview.)

But its a setup to throw the votes to russ because he has the immunity idol, and he and shambo will blind side someone with their votes.

I think they will boot the strongest person remaining...and that is probably Mick.

/edit: so much for that analysis, the previews were just friggin recaps of unseen footage from previous days.

it wasn't quite a recap episode, its much much much more of a deleted and new scenes episode... it was great!

It was interesting and insightful, but a pia when I was looking for a new episode with new developments.

Finally, let's get it on.

As for Russell, EVERYONE hated him to begin with, but he's shown to be a mastermind at this that's gained a lot of respect for his savvy and hard work.

Another note on him, he might be a farce as far as his biography goes, possibly not even having his own lucrative business. Here's a post I came across:

link

I found this while searching for info on Russell Hantz on anywho.com :

Russell D Hantz
XXXXXXX
Dayton, TX 77535

I then searched the address in bing.com and got "The Feedback Report" listed below:

General Comments
I heard today that one of the new contestants on Survivor Somoa is from Dayton. His name is Russell Hantz the owner of a multi-million dollar oil company. I have never heard of him. Is there anyone out there that knows him?

This Hantz fellow was obviously of the same ilk as Ray Akins, since they both have huge imaginations. Can you even think that a multi-million dollar company owner would have a front tooth missing to show his work ethic? According to the LCAD, he owns no property in Liberty County that is styled in his name. Can only find one Russell Hantz, through Telephone Company and that is at an address on a short county road out FM 1409, so drove down it and all Mobile Homes, like most millionaires live in like our County Judge does, not! CBS bought his BS, hook line and sinker, now it is like when we have severe weather and the TV news comes out to interview someone in Dayton and they dig up someone with only one tooth, but 30 tattoos and speaks in one syllable words. You have to love our peeps, that represent the City of Dayton.

Re: Hantz fellow. I did find the name of the company that he is supposed to own....Hantz tanking company. The address for the company is within a mobile home subdivision, but he does not own the property at that address. The previous poster is correct he does NOT own any property in Liberty county. For that matter he does not own any property in Liberty, Harris, Chambers or San Jacinto counties. This is all really strange. None of this is adding up.

Russell Hantz: I researched any company that was associated with this name and here is what I came up with-- ACCORDING TO: Manta.com: Hantz Marine management, XXXXX Dayton, Texas, Phone# XXXXX. Business Catagories: Towing-Marine in Dayton, Tx.,Management Services and Office Administrative Services. NAICS CODE & DESCRIPTION: 48833006,Navigational Services To Shipping. OWNER:Russell Hantz. Said it is a private owned company catagorized under Towing-Marine & located in Dayton, Texas. Current Estimates show that this company has an Annaul Revenue of $2.5 to $5 million and Employs a staff of approximately 10-19 people. Years in Business: 2. But yet there are no reports on this company, No web sites or anything else. It is not even listed in any of the phone books.

ACCORDING TO: DNBPowerProfile.com: Employs=25,Years in Business=5, Annual Revenue=$100,000.00 to $350,000.00 . ACCORDING TO: B.B.B.:NOTHING. Now, I will ask: What is he navigating? The Trinity River and shipping to & from where? Sounds like he placed this info on these sites himself to make it look authentic to 'Survivor'. Also, noticed the huge differences in Revenue and Years in Business.

Please forgive me if I did anything wrong in this post, but I'm a newbie at posting.

The way they edited this episode, I really wasn't sure who was going this time. That's all I'll say for now, I know not everyone has seen it yet.
