Does anyone know the supreme court ruling on weather or not employers need to pay employees for time changing into uniforms? i tried looking it up on the supreme court page but it was quite confusing

i think there was one that a little more specific
it was supposed to be john roberts first case as supreme court justice
IIRC

8 hours if you're union? < /bash >

But seriously, this sounds like some class-action suit where emplyees get $10 each while the lawyers collect millions.

5 unpaid minutes of work a day, teh horror!

What a strange case. I mean, how long does it take?

think of people who have to wear complicated stuff that has to be put on at the scene. divers, NBC suits, bunny suits, actors, etc.

oh no! not that... I was an actor for four years in high school, I had to change at least 3 times per show in under a minute(for one show it was 7 times/30 sec. each) if you're a professional, you should be able to get dressed relatively fast, fire fighters do it in under a minute(as do armed forces personell with chemical equipment) anyone putting on terribly difficult clothing is probably also getting hazzard pay, and if they are an actor wearing a costume that's so terribly hard and it takes 4 hours to get into, they're probably making close to $100 per hour(minimum)

I've also had to get dressed at work due to school, and I've never had trouble getting pants, shirt, belt, shoes and various lanyards/pins on in under 2 minutes.

Employees are just being greedy
