I got one this morning in my hotmail account. I tried to detach it but only the hotmail html site got saved. Good thing I didn't open it. 🙂

oh crap, my sisters had better not opened any attachments from their emails. Hopefully AVG took care of that if they did

I got one today. I opened it, but nothing happened to my comp. AVG did not pick it up and i even update my virus def daily and scan daily.

Yeah, I got the same thing too. I let one of my friends use my computer that night and while she was typing up her essay she downloaded the file and tried to run it. And then she went to me going "Hey... did I download it right?" I took a look at the file, and the email... and sighed.

Got one this morning, which I am quite happy with. Another virus for my virusscanner test collection 🙂

Alright, I am a moron and i opened it, it apeared nothing happened. So I do a Controll+alt+del and a msccn32 running. I had never seen it before. I thought it might be something that was there before but i didnt notice. So I ran avg and nothing happened. Then i updated it and it found it, it was attached to about 83 temp32 files. If if you did open this go grap avg free RIGHT NOW update it and get rid of it. This virus wasnt as much as a pain as most are so just do it.

Yeah i been gettin hit with these things all weekend, one being called 'my application' i will be getting in touch with hotmail and freeserve about it in a few minutes see if we cant get something done about them.

I've gotten 2 emails claiming to have "patches" for Microsoft Windows. The university's email system deleted these "patches", which I have a feeling weren't "patches" to begin with.

😀

Awesome, I just got one in my Yahoo! Email. Doesn't matter, I deleted it right away, emptied out my trash, closed my web browser, Turned off Windows, set my computer on fire, and threw it out the window.

😛

Ok, so I just deleted it.

It's PalyH/Sobig.

If any of you run mail filtering at work, don't just block PIF extensions, also block PI extensions. This virus is doing something screwy with attachments and the F is getting dropped and was slipping through our filter for awhile becuase of this.

hehe. i got one sent to me (dunno from who) but my school servers picked it up and removed it before it was able to reach me.
