I got one this morning in my hotmail account. I tried to detach it but only the hotmail html site got saved. Good thing I didn't open it. :)

I've gotten 3 so far.

People are sheep; stop opening strange attachments.

oh crap, my sisters had better not opened any attachments from their emails. Hopefully AVG took care of that if they did

Yeah, I got the same thing too. I let one of my friends use my computer that night and while she was typing up her essay she downloaded the file and tried to run it. And then she went to me going "Hey... did I download it right?" I took a look at the file, and the email... and sighed.

Alright, I am a moron and i opened it, it apeared nothing happened. So I do a Controll+alt+del and a msccn32 running. I had never seen it before. I thought it might be something that was there before but i didnt notice. So I ran avg and nothing happened. Then i updated it and it found it, it was attached to about 83 temp32 files. If if you did open this go grap avg free RIGHT NOW update it and get rid of it. This virus wasnt as much as a pain as most are so just do it.

I've gotten 2 emails claiming to have "patches" for Microsoft Windows. The university's email system deleted these "patches", which I have a feeling weren't "patches" to begin with.

:D

Awesome, I just got one in my Yahoo! Email. Doesn't matter, I deleted it right away, emptied out my trash, closed my web browser, Turned off Windows, set my computer on fire, and threw it out the window.

:p

Ok, so I just deleted it.

Heh, you think that's bad -- there is some bugged UC email list that's sending to tons of people and anyone can reply back and this support@microsoft.com virus email replied to it. I didn't get an attachment though.

It's PalyH/Sobig.

If any of you run mail filtering at work, don't just block PIF extensions, also block PI extensions. This virus is doing something screwy with attachments and the F is getting dropped and was slipping through our filter for awhile becuase of this.
