It is no longer the SNES days. The industry has evolved, Capcom has not.

and in SNES days, games were $70, which with inflation today, would probably be close to $100.

and in SNES days games were made with like 5 people, not 100+ that are involved in making games today.

I seriously don't remember paying $70 for SNES games.

This is perfect for me though. I'll pick up a used copy of SFIV dirt cheap once this comes out.

SF2 was $69.99 and with tax was $75.76

Same for Final Fantasy 3 for the SNES.

If you look super close when all those action shots are going on in the background, you can see Ryu doing Shin Shoryuken ultra. Someone frame grabbed it on gaf.

I am actually pretty excited for this.

The last big SF game I got into was Alpha 3. LOVED that one...I couldn't get into the subsequent ones.

Oh GOD here we go again...

I was huge into the SFII during the Golden Age that was the SNES.

Champion Edition, then Turbo, ok.. but then it just didn't end... /wrist

The blatant milking of the franchise killed it for me, much the same way as Star Wars and Final NonFantasy : Charlies Angels 733t Raver Meets Billy Bad Ass Edition, etc.

Yes, and it was awesome! They also released Championship Edition for the Genesis.

Just because they've done it before doesn't mean they should do it again. In the current days of DLC and such there's less of a reason to release a full new game with minimal change.

since you seem to know all of the details, what are the balance changes being made? how do the new ultras work? who are the other character that are going to be included?

The release date has been pushed back according to ign, no release date given. They said since there were other HUGE games coming out in March that they were pushing it back.
